Does anyone like to fly anymore?

I love it! The hustle and bustle of life inside the airport, everyone having a different "story" why they are there, the flight itself, the entire process is great! I however can not stand take off, but that's a small price to pay.

I actually rather enjoy flying, and I don't find it stressful at all. I know the rules, I follow them, and I find it all pretty simple. I don't have children so I only ever have to worry about DH and myself, but it's never stressful to me. I admit I get a little nervous in the air or when landing, but I mostly sleep through the whole flight without issue. I also really enjoy exploring airports during layovers, and still think it's important to dress nicely when traveling.

Plus I love "airplane" cookies haha!

*I have since found out that they are Biscoff cookies but man did I hoard them before I knew. I had the best flight attendant when I picked DH up from Basic Training. She filled my purse!

No, I used to fly all the time. Now we take Amtrak if we can. We take Amtrak to WDW and to my parents in NC, but can't go west easily. My fiance was taking greyhound but had too many horrible stories. If no Amtrak, we drive. I would fly if pushed but my fiance won't because he was on a plane once that got hit by lightning.
The only way I would fly now is if I got to go on the Adventures by Disney trips for Ireland and Scotland - preferably one after the other so I only have to fly once. But no one will go with me!

I enjoy the actual flying part, don't mind airports as long as things are running smoothly. I do not like shopping for flights. I'm currently looking for flights to MCO for our January trip.

I love it! The whole process is so exciting. Nothing better then looking out the window listening to my music

Can't wait to fly to Orland on Christmas day

Personally, I love flying and prefer flying over any other mode of transportation. I live outside of NYC and prefer flying to Boston or Washington DC than being trapped in a car for 4 hours. My husband thinks it's silly that i hate being in the car but i do.

We are going to SC this summer for a dance competition and DH and DD will drive down and I am going to fly. No one wants to deal with me in a car for 12 hours! :)

I hate to fly. We live 2-1/2 hours from the airport on a good traffic day, and it is just a huge hassle. We drive when we go to WDW and to the beach, and those are the only places we really go anymore. DH used to travel a lot for work, but he changed careers a few years ago.

I love to travel; hate to fly. My love affair with travel just slightly outweighs my fear of flying.

But I love airports and I prefer a window seat. I love when the airplanes have maps indicating what you are flying over. Each time I cross our country, I KNOW there are more towns lit at night than the last time.

I don't like it. In fact, I haven't flown for more than 12 years but we are flying next month and I am not looking forward to it at all!

This will be DS10's first time and he is really excited about it.

I prefer to fly and my husband prefers to drive. He hates flying as much as I hate driving. I have been 6 times. I flew 3 times and drove 3 times. But after our last flight which was extra turbulent my DH said he doesn't want to fly anymore.

It is a 12 hour drive for us and that is just miserable to me being in the car for that long.

We aren't going back until 2015 but unfortunately we will be driving with 3 kids in the car. (Unless I can talk him into flying)

We check our luggage for the most part. One time we just took a carry on each. The seat size doesn't bother me. Sitting next to a stranger for 2 hours bothers me more.

I love the flying part. Hate the security mess.

really enjoy flying, mostly in a 210.

also really enjoyed the many hours in a jet ranger.

No.

I miss the days of running at a breakneck pace through the airport 5 minutes before departure, throwing my bag through the metal detector, then sprinting to the gate and jumping onto the plane just as they close the door.

Or seeing people off at the gate...
Or meeting people at the gate...

Once I'm on the plane it's better... But then I miss in-flight meals (ok... not really...)

(One cool new thing - on my last Southwest flight to Vegas they had on board wi-fi with FREE Dish Network access... It was pretty wild watching TV on my android for most of my flight)

Yes love to fly but miss the above.

Airplanes are more like greyhound buses in cheap seats. Hate the pointless security.

Plus I really enjoy driving and stopping along the way.

I really don't mind flying, crowds, security, the whole bit. I do agree though that when others follow the rules it sure makes everything a bit nicer. I've been flying since I was a baby though, (and that's a whole lotta years :rotfl:) and maybe that's why I don't mind it.
