the cheapest days to fly on Southwest and Airtran? Are there supposedly cheaper days than others?

I've been following Southwest for a long time, and Tuesday and Wed are generally the best days to fly.

Yep. We usually try to do a tuesday-tuesday trip and it saves us some money on the flight. Not to mention, we haven't had long check in lines at ME or at the resort when we travel mid-week.

We always fly either AirTran or AA and have found Tuesdays or Wednesdays to be the best flights. However, for our September trip we are flying Thursday to Thursday only because AirTran had a $79 sale from Chicago to Orlando so of course we jumped on that.
