I know the story behind the Osbourne Lights at MGM, but looking back at my photos I noticed some animal figures in some of the windows. My question is does this relate to a separate story or just something Disney threw in to make to show more spectacular. You don't normally see animal figures represented at MGM so I wasn't sure if there is a separate story line? To the left center of the picture you see a yellow lion in the windows and two windows left of that looks like an Ardvark or anteater.

On last weeks DIS Unplugged podcast they told a story about how a purple cat got into the display. It seems that when the truck loaded up in Arkansas they accidently took a purple cat that was part of the Osborne family Halloween display. They said it is in a different place every year. No mention of a lion or anteater though.

I saw the cat on a roof last week! Don't know about the other animals though...

The lion is a poster from the Disney Play The Lion King on Broadway. Since that is NY street it makes sense.

The ardvark or anteater most likely is a reflection as the only animal i have heard about is the cat as described above.

The New Samantha Brown holiday Magic show actually explains the whole Osborne lights thing. it tells you everything you want to know about it.

From the bit I watched so far, the Osbornes had all of these lights on their house and Disney asked if they could do it or soemthing like that for soem reason. Wasn't much help, was I? you'll have to watch the show.
