Does anyone know of a business that can scan to .pdf?

Every once in a while someone needs a copy of our master deed for the condo association. I would love to have it as a .pdf file so I could just email it to them or have it on hand to easily copy. My personal copy is getting a bit worn. I have the technology to do this at home, but with 200 pages, it would be a bit time consuming. I was looking at staples.com and FedEx office, but I do not see this service listed. Does anyone know of any other places that do this and around how much it would cost? I am just outside of NYC if that helps.

Most enterprise copiers now will do scanning to PDF so I imagine that at least one of the machines at a place like Kinko's or Office Max should be able to do it. If you had to do it at home you could do it a couple of pages at at time and then assemble the PDFs into one file at a later time.

You could also look up any virtual office assistants in your area. Chances are you could pay them to do this job-probably for a lot less then Office Max or Kinko's.

I use eFax for getting stuff from work. (www.efax.com)

You set up an account, they give you a fax number that is just for you. Anything that is faxed to that number will be converted to a pdf and sent to your email box. You can then fax your document to yourself to convert it to pdf.

If I remember correctly, I think 200 pages is the max pages per month for a free account, so you may need to break it up into a part 1 and part 2, otherwise it is about $20 month for the premium service and unlimited pages.

Office Max does it. I had my transcripts scanned to PDFs last year. It was probably about 8 pages total and it cost about $1.

So if you do this fax part of the document on Dec 31st and the rest on January 1st and you are good to go :lmao:. If you don't have plans for New Year's Eve, here you go :thumbsup2:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Thanks for the suggestions. I will look into a virtual assistant. E-fax would not work for me because my fax is my scanner so I would just be scanning in 200 pages which is what I am trying to avoid.

I called Staples and they charge 25cents a page. Although I am not confident the person on the phone was understanding what I needed done.

Thanks again!

do you have this as a file on your computer? or is it only printed out?
