does anyone know much about icloud

I have icloud on my phone for pictures--

resecently I ran out of space and bought the 0.99 extra storage

I took some pics over a week ago and there still not in icloud--I took some before I added storage and there in icloud

not sure what I have to do now--
I asked here once before and was told sometimes it can take a few days--which it did but not over a week

any ideas or tips

I'm also out of storage on my Iphone and have been backing up my photos using the free storage I get with Amazon Prime.

I looked up how to make sure you photos are backing up to iCloud. Can you check your settings? Here is a screen shot below on how to do that.

thanks for the tips--I had to do a chat with apple which walked me through doing a backup--I thought the phone backs up on its own like at night when on the charger but the person from apple said it has to be unlocked--Im guessing that means you put your password in but after a few minutes of non use the phone shuts back off

anyways she did tell me how to check for backups--which I did yesterday with her help

but I still cant get my pics to go from my phone to icloud--it used to be automatic--I would take pics and sometimes they would show up on the computer right away sometimes it would take a few days

but since I bought the extra space things seem to have changed again-the person from apple said to plug my phone into the computer to get them to go from phone to computer--thats how I used to do it--but since adding icloud and getting the computer upgraded it doenst work that way anymore

we were on vacation in may and those pics went right to my computer--I didnt have to do anything-since adding space nothing is working

sorry for all the questions--Im not good with computers so any changes puts me in a tizzy
