Does anyone know if you can return a gift card??

My MIL got me a Body Shop gift card. My husband had told her to get me a Bath and Body Works gift card. Has anyone ever returned/exchanged a gift card before?? She included the receipt with it. Thanks

Most likely not. You can try to sell it on Ebay or Plasticjungle.com though.

yeah I thought about that too LOL It is almost comical each year to see what I get from my MIL. She always sends my husband money and the kids usually get money now. However she never ever sends me money. She picks out some top/blouse that I will never wear. So for the past few years I keep saying "oh you don't have to bother shopping for me". A card is just fine. Trying to be nice about it. I mean she never includes a return receipt with the clothes so I am stuck with them. I usually donate them to charity. So this year my husband gave her two gift card ideas trying to make it easy on her... ONE Bath and Bodyworks and Bed Bath and Beyond. Well didn't get either. I guess I should just be thankful and leave it at that. I am sure I can find something there. I like to get the pump soaps at Bath and Body works and their hand sanitizers. Oh well....

Honestly the Body Shop has nicer products that Bath & Body works. I am sure you can find something there, if you like the Bath & Body works product line--when my mother-in-law was alive she used to get the two mixed up. I don't like Bath & Body Works, my husband and I call it the stinky stuff store. The Body Shop however has a lot of nice lotions, make up, etc--don't worry if you really want they have some stinky soaps too!

I am not BIG on a lot of scented stuff. I don't wear perfume anymore. I do like the liquid pump soaps to have in the kitchen and bathrooms. I will check the store out online and see what they have.

We have the same problem here. DH's parents sent 2 of the older kids Kohl's gift cards (the younger ones got Target) and they have already asked me to buy them off of them so they can get something somewhere else. I told them that first we would go to Kohl's and they needed to make an effort to look around before deciding there was nothing at all in the store they wanted.

my boyfriend and I stumbled upon Body Shop on Black Friday weekend when they were having their 3 for $30 sale and we loved it..they have some nice stuff in there..I was on the hunt for a nice perfume, really wanted Cool Water, and found a nice scent I liked even better at the Body Shop..so check out their website, you might just find something you like..

Do either of the them wear jewelry? Ashleigh can always find a piece of jewelry or shoes that she wants at Kohl's. Clothes can be hit or miss, but she has gotten sunglasses, fun socks, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories at Kohl's. Don't you love how we are the buy back bank? LOL

I just checked their website. There is a nice sale going on. I'd say either go to the store or shop on line with an open mind. It doesn't look any different from Bath & Body Works.

Jess does but she looked at the one here last time we were there and didn't see anything that she liked. Does Ashleigh want to buy a couple of Kohl's gift cards? The girls can deliver them the week after Christmas!

Just use the card. For heaven's sake, the woman made a mistake and got the stores mixed up. I, too, prefer The Body Shop products to Bath & Body's stuff.
