So last night I needed to go grocery shopping badly. I was out of a lot of things and desparate to come up with something to make a meal so I could get to the grocery store after supper. In my frustration I slammed the refrigerator door. Oh my what a mistake!
The bottle of wine I bought last week for cooking was sitting on top of the fridge. It had not been opened. It fell off the top of the fridge hit the edge of the counter and shattered.
So there I am with wine and shattered glass all over the floor, counters and in my shoe too. The kids come running up that the wine is pouring thru the floor and DH wants me to bring him a bucket so he can clean it up oh and dad's drinking (he decided not to let it go to waste
). DH comes upstairs to report that the wine is poured all over the washer and dryer and down inside and the clothes I just washed and dried
are wet as are the christmas cards that just came in the mail DM left on the dryer.
It took a while but I got it cleaned up - mostly. I also got the glass out of the bottom of my foot but I still have to re-wash three loads of laundry.
I also still have to get the smell out of the floor. The whole house smells like a drunken orgy took place.
Anyone have any ideas for getting wine smell out of floorboards ??
