Does anyone know anything about the medication Metidate?

This is the newest thing to try in helping Karissa. We are going to start her on this today. Its an ADD medication that we are hoping will help her focus a little more.

I have been doing my research and so far it sounds like its a good start.

My son uses Metadate. It is a long-acting ADDH medication, much like Concerta, but different.

My son was first on Ritalin LA, which, after you take it release half of the medication in the capsule and then the other half a few hours later. It was $35 a month on my prescription drug plan.

Metadate is just like Ritalin LA; however, I believe it release 25% of the medication in the first hour and then 75% (the remaining) later in the day. He does very well on this and it works just fine for him and sort of mirrors his activity through the day. And it was cheaper too! $25 per month.
