Does anyone here watch "Bethany Ever After" on a regular basis?

Since arriving at the lake for the season - and having my cable box installed - I was flipping through the so-called "200 channels" one day and happened to land on a "Bethany Ever After" marathon..

I wasn't really "watching" watching - just kind of had it on for background noise while I was busy cleaning, unpacking, re-organizing, packing up things I want to get rid of, etc..

Prior to that, my only real exposure to Bethany was when I first started to catch the Housewives of NYC every now and then and Bethany and Jill were feuding.. (I never saw any of the previous shows when they were supposed to have been very good friends..)

Anyhow - much to my surprise, I have come to really enjoy watching her show - even more so than the HONYC..

Yes - she can be demanding - yes, she has a razor-sharp tongue at times - but I also find her very dry sense of humor quite entertaining and I think the Bethany that we all see on that show (if you watch it) is the "real" Bethany.. I don't think she tries to portray herself as someone other than who she really is (unlike the Housewives on all of the other shows)..

I'm very happy to see her husband Jason involved in her business with her (he is one of the few people who can really keep her grounded, centered, & focused when she's bitten off more than she can chew); I'm thrilled that their baby is perfectly healthy now; and I think her therapist is top notch - very, very good at what he does and quite capable of pinpointing Bethany's issues right out of the gate..

Most of these types of shows I'm not "loyal" to - meaning I don't absolutely have to watch them every week - but I must admit that if I'm too busy and can't just sit and watch "Bethany Ever After" for whatever reason, I've been making a point of taping it to watch at a later time..

Am I alone - or does she have any other fans here?

Just curious..:goodvibes

I watch it. I find her more "real" than the other NY housewives and her relationships are very honest. She really loves Jason and has a great relationship with him. And she is a great mom who so obviously appreciates what she has. I find her very funny with her dry sense of humor. She's very self-deprecating and while she is by no means perfect, I find her fun to watch.

I'm a fan of the show and of Bethanny. I really liked her on RHW and think the show is really lacking with her gone. She is who she is and doesn't make any bones about it. She does have a biting tongue but that is very typical of NYC and the surrounding area so I'm used to it. She comes out with ziggers that are priceless.

I love her. As a NYC working mom myself I can totally relate to her sarcasm, wit and sense of humor. I totally "get" her so called craziness and also agree that what you see is who she really is.

I do watch the show and like her a lot. My *only* complaint as of late is the constant talk about her mom and how she ruined her life. I know she grew up in an unusual household and her mom did some bad things to her like putting her in weight-loss camp at 8, but the last episode where her T-giving day was ruined because her oven was broken and she had a meltdown she blamed it on how her mom treated her 30 years earlier.

I honestly could imagine her and Jason married forever though, they are a good fit for each other, and Brynn is adorable.

Happy to see there are other fans here - and so far everyone is in agreement that there's no "acting" on her show - what you see is the real Bethany, 100%..:thumbsup2

As for the Thanksgiving episode - I didn't get the feeling that it was acually her blaming her mom for her own behavior that day.. It seemed more like her therapist led her to that conclusion - that her mom expected perfection at all times and would flip out if the least little thing went wrong - and as a result of that, Bethany can be the same way at times.. However, since I haven't been a fan until now, I know very, very little about her mother and/or her childhood.. If I went to the Bravo site, would I find the "truth" there (per Bethany) - or only rumors that others have created from bits and pieces (or worse yet, things they made up out of thin air)? I'm curious now - and would like to know a little more about her childhood and parents..

Oh - and does she have any siblings?

I really adore Bethanny and think she is genuienly a nice person. I guess I sympathize with her on the mother front as it reminds me of my mother and I's situation.

She truly loves her fans and I think is in touch with reality more than most celebrities.

And yes, I watch her show regularly.

Ive always been a fan of hers. I read many people "complain" that she blames things on her mother. I don't see her show as her blaming her mom as much as trying to understand what how her upbringing has affected her and trying to understand herself. Working with a therapist is a clear indication that she wants to overcome , learn and "get over it", so to speak.

I really appreciate her wit, sarcasm as self-deprecating style. She owns her "nuttiness" and she cracks me up.

I started watching the show because of Bethany. But, to me, Jason is the "breakout performer". I find him so down to earth and real. And he just cracks me up. Plus, that baby is so cute.

Watching, DISing, and taping it right now..:thumbsup2

I am a huge Bethenny fan. Loved her on Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny Getting Married And Bethenny Ever After. Its nice to see, all of her hard work pay off...professionally and personally. :goodvibes

I know Bethany personally and she used to be the biggest witch around with her attitude. I think the show helped her come down off her high horse, which is rare for a reality tv star. Her mother is just like Bethany used to be and still is. There was always competition between mother and daughter, which is sad for a mother to be like that with her own daughter.

I love her & her shows, books, etc. I appreciate her bluntness & wit. And she makes a pretty mean margarita, too! :)

I watch! I never watched her on RH, but I caught one of the wedding episodes and really liked her. Now I tune in every Monday night.

Like others have said, I really like her, think she is more "real" than some of the other housewives. Also I have a dry, sarcastic sense of humor too, so I get her.

Jason is great, just the type of man that she needed!

Sometimes people that are "broken" have defense mechanisms that make them act less than desirable. I'm not saying that it's ok to act however you want because you had a bad childhood, but in Bethenny's case, it kind of seems textbook (not that I've read it ;) but you know what I mean.)

Anyway, I really love her show, and I think she seems pretty awesome in a lot of ways. I hope that her new family continues to help her heal from her past!

I don't think, the show really changed her. She looked at herself ( her mother) and realized, OMG..I've become the hate! I appreciate, the fact, she allows us into her therapy sessions. I believe, hard work and a stable relationship, is why Bethenny is changing.

Week after week I find out something new about you Aisling...I love it!!!

Do you still know her personally and feel she is a changed person?

I think that Bethenny's therapist is amazing, common-sense *and* expertise. I bet it's impossible to get in to see him these days.

agnes!
