I am on Advair and Albuterol, along with Singulair. Albuterol should only be used sparingly. Advair is used for maintenance. I keep an albuterol with me at all times, as I can enter a different environment and wheeze immediately.
Really do some research on asthma, it may be common but it's nothing to mess with, as another poster mentioned with the story of her daughter.
About 8 years ago, I found myself in ICU for an entire weekend because I turned gray and they had to do some major work to keep me alive.
I've had great luck with both of those inhalers, I think you'll like them!
