Does anyone here have a juicer?

I would like to buy a juicer but I really don't know anything about them. I have seen them ranging in price from $29 - $250. I have no idea which one to buy.

are you looking to occasionally juice some citrus, or are you looking to make things like a juice bar (carrot, wheatgrass, etc)?

We have an Omega and my DH uses it every morning for fresh juice. He also uses it to make nut butters and even nut flours.

It all depends on what you expect out of it. If you just want juice, buy a cheaper one. If you want the option of making your own nut butters, pasta, grind coffee and spices, look at the Omega's. We found ours online for $179 (with a coupon) and free shipping. It was a steal!

I would like to make a variety of juices. I want something that will utilize the fruits/vegetables the most. I don't want alot of waste. I am looking for something around $100.

I would do a lot of research before buying and know exactly WHAT you want out of a juicer.

Do you want a centrifuge juicer or a masticating juicer? The centrifuge will only allow you to juice so much before you need to clean the top so you can make more. The masticating will allow for quite a bit to be juiced at once, enough for the whole family, and is much easier to clean.

If I only had $250, I would get an Champion juicer (masticating).

We researched for several months and finally got a Green Life juicer (now called Green Power).....we have had it for 12 years and it runs just like the day we bought it. We juice wheatgrass, carrots, all sorts of things.
