Does anyone have this toddler bed?

I was thinking of getting this toddler bed for Elliot. I think he would love it and I think it would encourage him to stay in bed. His crib turns into a toddler bed but I really don't like the way it looks as a toddler bed. My other choice would be to go straight to the double bed (the crib is also a double headboard) and put railings on the bed. I would prefer to have him lower to the ground though since he isn't even two yet.

Has anyone tried this bed? Did you like it?

Thanks!

That is one cool looking bed! I put my (almost) two yr old in a toddler bed and she loves it. Whenever she lays on our bed or her brothers, she gets so close to the edge, I am sure she is going to fall out. I say go for it as it is really a cool bed.

DS has the race car toddler bed and loves it. He was very proud to stay in a "big boy bed" from the first night. DD had the Little Tykes Cottage toddler bed and she loved it, too.

Congratulations on moving up to a bigger bed! Big step for little ones! :D

I don't have this bed but it does look cute. I did want to let you know about something we have with a twin bed that makes it much closer to the ground. It's called a bunkie board and is used instead of a box spring. It cost about $35 and we order it along with the bed and mattress. Basically it's a piece of fabric covered plywood that fits over the slats of the bed and on which the mattress sits. It puts the top of the mattress about 8-10 inches closer to the floor. DD was about 34 inches when she went into a bed and she was able to get on/off without trouble. At 4 1/2 she's now 38" and we still have the board. When she's older we'll just replace the board with a box spring.

I have the similar race car bed for my DS3, but he doesn't sleep in it anymore b/c he likes the floor. If you live anywhere near NJ and want to "test" out our racecar toddler bed with your son, i'd happily loan it to you for however long you wanted it.

I think we're going to get him a twin bed in the next few weeks.

We had the Fire Truck one of those, DS loved it for a long time, putting it together is a hassle but it did help him stay in his bed so the trade off was ok :)

My son has it and he loves it. It was not even a problem getting him to sleep in it from using the crib.

Thanks all! Hearing good reports make me more willing to shell out the $160....which actually doesn't seem too bad for such a cool bed!

Don't have it but it looks so COOL! DS just turned 2 and his crib turns into a toddler bed, but cribs that turn into toddler beds just look kinda weird if you know what I mean. I could probably use the pieces to add the foot board and head board to DD's full size bed and get this train...I mean bed for DS. He absolutely loves trains.
