Does anyone have the same opinion?

I'm just wondering...I'm trying to be very optimistic (sp?) about DME. I understand there are some people very frustrated with not having luggage tags in time...I probably won't have mine, and them not having the correct information...that would frustrate me too, but we are leaving in 12 days and I feel very confident that things are going to work out just fine. Does anyone else feel the same way or am I too optimistic????

I feel like you do. I think Disney even if everyone didn't get tags they will have enough manpower to get it straightened out for everyone when they arrive.

I am sure there will be a few kinks but it won't take long and it will be running very smoothly.

I share your optimism...Disney has a pretty amazing track record for customer service and I cannot imagine that it will be anywhere near as awful as many here seem to think....will it work right 100% of the time from the getgo?? No, probably not, but does anything??

Let us know how it goes for you but I am banking on the fact that a lot of people will be pleasently suprised.

When I think of the hassles we have had over the years with rental car lines and late/missing town cars (all at considerable expense, I might add) I think ME is going to be a delight.

I have watched with great interest on the Disney Dining Forum how the prophets of doom bashed the MYW dining plan, how it was going to be such a rip off and no one would ever use it that knew what they were doing, etc, etc...and after a few minor start up snafu's the reviews now are all glowing...everyone that has tried it seems to love it...I strongly suspect by this time next month the same will be true of ME!!

Have a great trip!!

Congrats on your cup being 1/2 full...wish more people could do it too :teeth: I think you are going to have a fantastic trip!!!

Hi Misandrog! I just wanted to say that I feel like you do! :teeth: I'm so happy to be at WDW in just 9 days, with or without my DME tags. I've called & verified that I'm in the system, but I'm fairly certain I won't be seeing any DME tags before our trip. ;) Have a great trip!! :teeth:

Count me in, too. We can't wait to go. If we have to get our own luggage, who cares? It'll be fun to take the special Disney bus, especially for my kids. I just want to have the best family vacation ever and I wouldn't let minor transportation troubles change that. You can't sweat the small stuff and that's what I think this is, small stuff. :cool1:

oh yea!!! can't wait.

people are getting so upset over ME - that they forget - hey WDW is PAYING for it....

I leave in 11 days and I just can't wait.

of course I might go crazy - I love my car and it has been a long, a very long time since I went to WDW without one. But hey new experiences are good for a person. :bounce: :Pinkbounc

It will all work out. We all knew there would be glitches in the beginning. In fact peope were joking about being guinea pigs for that first week of DME start up. Now that it's time to go everyone is getting all upset about the lack of luggage tags. My word...it will work out. Disney is pretty good about this stuff. I know it won't go exactly as planned for the first week but that was to be expected. I just can't figure out why everyone is so surprised. I, for one, am not concerned. Even if I were going on Sat I wouldn't be all upset. I would over-mark my bags (which I still intend to do next month!), plan on going to retrieve them at the claim area and then hand them off to a Disney Cm and then hop on the FREE bus to my resort.

Oh, ye of little faith...here's a sprinkling of pixie dust! I believe that Disney will work out the major kinks with ME in due time...hopefully before our 6/1 trip, but if not I still have faith that I will get to OKW at some point.

Two reasons....
1) We used WDW travel for our flight last November with the DCL...we had a major glitch that could have prevented us from making the ship at all...well Disney Ground Services wonderful CM, Michelle, took care of us...and we had the most magical cruise!

2) I remember a conversation I had with my then 55 yrs. old mom, who had never flown in her life. She was heading to Holland to visit one of my sisters the year after I returned...when there were several hijackings of planes and cruise ships and the US bombed Libya 1985-86...when I left she was worried about my safety and I was worried about hers when she left. She told me that if her plane got hijacked, well then she'd just get to see part of the world that she hadn't planned on seeing that trip. That is pure optimism!!!

So, I believe! DME will work out fine...especially if the DCL bus service is any indication...our experience with that was fantastic!

We do not go until December so I know things will be worked out by then. But really, the service is free and I feel sure that the glitches will be worked out.
I'm anxious to hear everyone's report when they get back.

I feel the same way!

I will get off the plane ... be in ORLANDO.... Going to DISNEY.... :cool1:

If I do not have tags so be it. Disney knows I am coming. I have confirmed that my flight information is still with my reservation.....

I will get on the FREE bus trip to POR and enjoy everything DISNEY.

I just cant wait to see my sons expression when we get to the airport after picking him up from school on Friday and say ... I thought we would just go to Disney for the weekend...... do you want to go too! :earsboy:
