Hi

We used to have Sky+ until the satelite fell off the roof and wont re-fit, due to the high trees in front of our house.

We have telewest digital at the moment and I would like to have Telewest V+. My dh thinks its a waste of money. He sais we could do the same thing with a hard drive :confused3 I dont really understand what he is going on about.

Its about £15.00 premium you have to pay ontop of the package which is £20.00. Dh thinks its a waste of money.

Does anyone have Teleswest V+? Whats it like? Bruce loves Sky+ due to the simplicity of it and the menus and also its quicker than Telewest.

we have the telewest tv drive which does basically the same thing as sky + you can record pause live tv etc we have never had any problems with it. Hope this helps Gill

We had the TVDrive (VirginMedia V+) installed over Christmas - fantastic piece of kit :)

There are a few little niggly firmware problems, but there is going to be a big software upgrade soon when VirginMedia is launched.

The box has 3 tuners, so you can record 2 channels and watch a third.
You can pause live TV, record series etc. just like the Sky+ box.
It also has HD.

For normal TV you can record 80hours, and I think 20 hours of HD.

You also get the Video on Demand.

I have the ntl version of it, well from tomorrow it will be the Virgin Media version of it. I am staff so I get it slightly cheaper. I had it installed just before Christmas and now don't know how I ever lived without it.

From what I know there will be an update to the "V+" boxes tomorrow, just some cosmetic stuff really, then all other regular boxes will be updated before June.
