It is available in our community and is being rolled out in limited parts of the country. It is Verizon's fiber optic tv, internet, and phone systems. Just wondering if anyone has switced to this service and what they think of it. TIA. :)

Yes- Have it. We used to have verizon DSL, but switched about a year or so ago when the fios came to our area. I like it. It is really nice if you have more then one computer, or if you have a laptop. It is nice that there are not wires hooked up to more then one computer in order to get service. My son has it in his room and I have it on the main computer in the guest room.
My neighbor got our signal over at his house and was able to sit outside using his laptop off of our signal, but then liked it so much they signed up for it as well. I have not had one single problem with it.
Hope this helps.

Do you have tv service?

We have the internet service, and wanted to have the TV service as well, but when they came to put in the outlets, they wouldn't fish the walls. They were going to drag cables from the living room outlet up the stairs, and around the upstairs to the bedrooms. No thanks!

So, we went with Cox digital for TV instead. We are very happy with the FIOS internet service.

...if I want Verizon FIOS at a "special rate for a limited time".
I love that....

Got it three weeks ago. We're clocking the mps at 26-29mbs, far above the 15 they promised. Still getting used to the TV remote, but then, I turn the tv on about once a week.

We were happy with Brighthouse, but faster signal for a few bucks more because I'm bundling services-that was a no brainer.

With the TV service, do you have the opportunity to buy the Major League Baseball package? I think we are moving to FIOS community and it's going to kill me to give up watching the Red Sox! TIA

I have it and really like it. No problems at all so far and I have had it for about 3 months. I don't have any landline phone service (I use Vonage) and this way I can get internet service without having to have a phone. I tried Comcast cable internet for awhile, but that was $55 a month - wayyy too much!
