Does anyone have a good discount number for National?

Well now that the DC number doesn't work with the online reservation for National, I have to try other outlets. I don't have an annual pass so I can't use that if they still have one.

The reason I am asiking for a code is that I am going to be in WDW on 1/14 and I already have a van reserved for 9 days for $301 with a $15 coupon and the DC discount because I made this before 1/1/04. Now for a short time the specials to go section has a van rate available during my time period for $184/wk and 34.99 a day. With just my $15 coupon the final total is $312. I was hoping to get some kind of further discount with the coupon, like I am used to, but when I plug in the code I don't get a message that the code is invalid, just no extra discount when the charges screen comes up. I have tried just about all of the numbers on Mousavers and no dice.

Just to add, when you click on the special rate on the page, it plugs in a rate code of its own. I then tried just leaving that field blank and the same rate came up so the rate is not dependent on just that one particular number.

If anyone out there has a code that can help, please do so. I feel I can knock this rate down just a little lower so I don't have to rely on the DC ressie in case I have any questions about the rate being invalid since the club is now history.

some codes don't allow minivans.
I just ran your reservation with the DC code and BJ's 20.00 coupon ( Ihave an extra one if you need it) and came up with 283.69 total for your 9 days.

also, try clearing your cookies and cache. National seems to have a problem with stored cookies.

Gail, is that BJ's coupon off their new set of coupons? I was there before the new year and they still had the old ones. Also, I will be getting there on 1/14 at pick up around 2pm and return on 1/22 at about 7pm so maybe your total was not for a full 9 days. I just tried the same ressie on the site and it gave me a huge rate. Somewhere in the $500's. I went thru the EC sign in and plugged in the dates above for a van, used the Bj's $15 coupon and the DC number and got that high rate. Did you go thru the last minute specials or did you start from scratch?

Any help would be great.

Gail, you failed to mention that I had to use the WWEB code with everything else. The base rate was $225 and I got it at $235 way back when so I save about $12. Thanks for your help. I guess I was talking about one type of special and using a different one. You probably thought I was talking about the internet rate link and I was really talking about the last minute special link which won't let you use the DC code since it uses its own code and you can't replace it.

I plugged you in for 1/14 dropping off on 1/23 both at 9 am, so that covers the 9 days. I read the rate, it was weekly plus 2 days.
I went to specials, clicked on the minivan, went in through general reservations (not EA, much higher rate), I used the DC code 5901600 and the coupon 10008911 and the product rate code defaulted to wweb.
The BJ's coupon I have as a spare is from their BJ's vacation brochure, NOT the car rental sheets. That number is:10009013- which gives the same rate.
I just reran the ressie with the dates and times you gave me and the same results came up.

If it is something different, then I would need you to mail it. Please let me know. Also what is the exp date on the coupon? Mine expires on 1/31/04.

the wweb code is put in there by national, not me.

You can replace any code, just highlight it and delete it. The insert your own. The rate, however, remained the same.

It is volume 6, just got it earlier this week.

The expiration date is 8/30/04

Is BJs a buying club or travel agent? Where are they located? My tries with National are coming up $400+ for a week in March 2004 for a minivan.
