that with all that is going on in Iraq, Pres Bush could have waited a couple of weeks before going to Camp David?

Don't get me wrong. I support our troops and stand behind our country. But to me, it kind of sends the wrong message to the American people. There is a war on and he goes on a weekend retreat?

I doubt he is "vacationing" or even retreating. His is such a stressful job that just a change in venue for a bit is well deserved.

Well, I hardly think he's resting and relaxing. But maybe he's demonstrating that we have to go on with our lives.

He's our President - I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Don't you think though it's pretty stupid that they even broadcast to the world where he is? Why not just put a bullseye on his forehead???

Agree with above. I think it is just a different location, but just as involved as he would be anywhere.

I highly doubt he's taking a 'vacation'. I'm sure he has his reasons, we just may not know them.

Isn't that the true

Normally I would say no..... but I have to agree this time... especially because of the airing of the picture of President Bush, VP Cheney, Colin Powell and all the other key figures in the same room.

Anything he can do from the WH can be done from Camp David. I doubt it is so much a retreat as a change of scenery. I agree though that it's not a good idea to broadcast it like that.

I may be wrong but didn't President Bush do the same during the Desert Storm?
Like others said, I doubt the man is on 'vacation'. I hardly doubt a man who is such a leader as President Bush is would be getting away from, hiding or otherwise.
