Tower towels, I prefer a bath sheet. I find most hotel towels too small. I also bring my own toilet paper and tissues because hotel tissue is often rough. Does anyone else bring their own things due to substandard hotel items?

No, not at all. In fact, it would never occur to me to do that even if I had room in my luggage.
