Sometimes I read a thread that I want to put my hand thru the computer and shake common sense into the poster!!!! I want soooo bad to reply to this thread,but know better........

....cuz I just know there'd be people on the "D"!!!
Lord,gimme strength!!!!!

...what does it depend on for you whether or not you reply to a post that makes you mad???

I tend to gravitate toward them, I think I like to have my blood pressure raised for a few seconds, gives me a high or something. LOL

I've started writing replies, and then not posting them--not wanting to fuel a ridiculous poster--but feeling the need to "set someone straight". Sometimes, I just can't help it--and I post anyway.

I definately quit reading threads on the debate board--those always tick me off. Especially the day I read some man bashing Christianity and calling it a Fairy Tale.

I sometimes read the WHOLE thread, and WISH it would be locked before I reply......it usually does.:o

This is actually a very good idea! Abraham Lincoln used the same practice when righting to his generals or anyone that made him angry.

Oh yeah!

I have so often written an entire reply then just hit the back button or in some other way not posted at all because I KNOW it won't do any good. I have even not opened threads that I know will irritate me.

I figure, I believe what I believe in, know what I know and its not my job to make someone "see it my way".

Most of the time the person I am irritated at wouldnt even listen to my point of view.. so why bother?

Not that I haven't fallen into the trap and posted and then wished I hadnt when I get the reply back that I knew was coming.. live and learn!!!

::yes::

I try to forget the debate boards exist - I allowed myself to get suckered in once and have learned I want to feel better by reading the boards - not feeling like smacking folks!

Many many times. I have perfected the art of typing a reply and quickly hitting the back button before I loose all sense and send it! :wave2: Maybe we need a "sticking the hands through the screen and shaking" smilie ;) .

Do you mean not reading them or not replying to them?

I don't reply to certain posts for various reasons. Sometimes there are some subjects that I really don't care to give my opinion on, also to avoid posters that I feel have no credibility in what they post, and sometimes I just don't have anything to contribute to a post.
