Does anyone else hesitate at putting names on the shirts?

I know this is probably a weird question, but....
I really love some of the personalized shirts here, but I slightly worry about putting our names on the shirts. Does anyone ever have problems when wearing shirts in the park with names on them?

I have worried about it particularly with kids and "stranger danger". Course I'm a little paranoid, especially about personal information.

If you don't want to put names on the shirt, you can put Mom, Dad, Little Sister, Big Sister, Little Brother, etc. It doesn't have to be the person's name. Or you can even put the character's name. . .Donald, Mickey, etc.

Even though I find the name designs really cute and creative, I have always chosen to not put our boys names on their shirt. It's just a comfort issue with me.

we have tons of personalized shirts and have never had a problem on them. The only shirt I really hesitated to put real names on was the family checklist one so I did mom, dad, big sis, little sis, etc. I knew that shirt would draw a lot of attention so I just didn't want to cause any issues. But the regular shirts I'm ok with it. The kids enjoy being called their name by the characters and CM's (and they just think it's magic, not that it's on their shirts! LOL).

It is a personal preference. For us, answer at this time is no due to the kids being 4 and 6, once they are older we will think about it.

DH always just shakes his head when he sees shirts that have the kid's names on them and then the parents just say Mom and Dad

I had given this issue a lot of thought when the kids were little but eventually decided that if you followed me for 5 minutes I sure I would have yelled their names at least 10 times each :cheer2: If a stranger where paying any attention, I would have already given out the name  So I decided to go ahead and use their actual names. My name, of course is Mommy ;)

I think it is up to the parent, but my take is, my kids know about stranger danger, whether someone knows the kids name or not. Plus, when my kids were young, they were never out of my sight.

Now they're teenagers :cool1: and wouldn't be caught dead wearing something with their name on it.:lmao:

I'm not worried at all.

The kids will not be out of our sight while there, and like a previous poster said, someone planning anything/watching will certainly hear me say their names anyway.

Now if it were just one adult and two or three little kids, that may be different, but it's me, DH, our two tweens and then two toddlers. I'm sure we'll be okay.

I understand people's concern, but my boys love having their names on their shirts, especially at MK. The CMs always refer to them by name when they see their shirts. It makes themfeel special.
