You plan a Disney trip for the upcoming year and it is so far away that you can't really do any real planning yet?? It is driving me crazy! I have Disney fever and there is nothing I can do about it!

Sure, you can do something - take a second trip to WDW now! It sounds expensive... yet we often find last minute cheap flights and lodging.

We were just there in September, but will be back for a long weekend in December and a full week in January. Annual Pass, cheap flights or free flights with points, offsite or discounted onsite lodging = go!

Oh yes. I started planning my recent trip 18 months out. There are still things you can do. Dig out your old guidebooks or check websites for ideas of what you may like to do that you haven't done before. Use the prior year crowd calendars and likely EMH hours schedules to get an idea of which park on which day. Read menus for the restaurants for ideas for new places to eat. Read other members Trip Reports here on the DIS. There's plenty you can do to keep your anticipation level up. :cool1:

If I keep this up I will have a million free points to use lol

Oh, do I know what you mean!! We were originally going Sept. 2015, but put the trip off a few months, so now I have even longer to wait.:( My family are really getting sick of the Disney talk, but what can you do? I just stalk the Dis and any other Disney site relentlessly, and obsess to my heart's content!! :rotfl2:

I am going late Spetember. 302 days to be exact lol I am dying over here!!!

We had the Disney-Blues when we got back from our trip in September, so we sat down and planned our full next vacation down to the meals, and fast passes that we want.

Now, its just reading over guide books for new infomraiton or for extra fun

Yes! My next trip is 374 days away! (Dec. 4-11, 2015.) I started planning back in August. It's driving me crazy... I JUST WANT TO DO DISNEY THINGS! If you peek at my PTR (in my sig) you can see what "planning" I've done so far, despite knowing I'll likely have to start all over in the Spring with the park hours finally come out! :lmao:

Well, at least we are in good company!:woohoo:

:grouphug: We were going a lot earlier, staying moderate, praying for free dining, not gonna have a lot to spend (we're poor!) We had a talk and decided to wait til after the next set of tax returns, so we could really do it up! Then, my stepmom decided to come with us (on her bucket list and my dad REALLY doesn't wanna go), and she insists on paying for half the room cost. So, for what we were going to pay at WL for a standard room, we now get to stay CR TPV, and maybe CL if we get a discount!! We are unanimous about staying there, and I am SO EXCITED! So as much as I am dying to get there, ultimately our trip will be so awesome!!! :dance3:

We booked our upcoming trip in April for next March! (so 11 months away) Been half planning it for much longer!

We're used to having longgg periods of time before we can really get cracking with everything.

Exactly what I do! Next trip isn't until December '15 :thumbsup2

We don't even HAVE a trip planned yet, and I'm already "planning" :rotfl2:

I think I need to order a new guide book. The one I have is really old.

I am thinking of doing a pre-trip report but I am not sure how to do all the links and things. I am still kind of a newbie here.

That is great! WDL is beautiful

I have this issue right now. I've been planning a big, multi-family trip for December of 2015. I can't do hotels until January. I can arrange parks until they release hours for that month. I can't plan restaurants until I know what parks for what days, and I can't book them until June. I can't book any shore excursions (for the cruise) until September, and I can't do anything with FP+ until October (by which point at least I'll know our park and dining plans). Meanwhile, families keep asking me what my plans are. My plans are to twiddle my thumbs for the next month and a half, thanks.
