Does anyone else have this problem?

I have this issue right now. I've been planning a big, multi-family trip for December of 2015. I can't do hotels until January. I can arrange parks until they release hours for that month. I can't plan restaurants until I know what parks for what days, and I can't book them until June. I can't book any shore excursions (for the cruise) until September, and I can't do anything with FP+ until October (by which point at least I'll know our park and dining plans). Meanwhile, families keep asking me what my plans are. My plans are to twiddle my thumbs for the next month and a half, thanks.

I just downloaded the unofficial guide to Disney World 2015 to my kindle. It is 875 pages!!! I think that is what I am going to be doing for the next few months! Plus, if you have a kindle and they update the book, you get any updates for free!

I also got the Disney Dining book... my Disney fever is costing me money!!!!:hourglass

I have the opposite issue.

My short trip starts middle of next week and I'm just figured out which park I'm going to on which date, booked FP+ (got a SDMT!), actually booked a candelight processional lunch and another ADR booked.
About the only thing I'd done early was get my MVMCP ticket and offsite hotel room.

It's just me so it's easier but it did sneak up on me.

We're doing our first trip in september 2015. I find myself perseverating on so many things right now, and can't do a thing. I read dining reviews and have made mock plans, but as of right now it's all out of my control. My friend planned a last minute trip the beginning of February and like me, is a first timer. I'm jealous because she has no time to overthink. She's just doing!

Oh yes. I started planning my recent trip 18 months out. There are still things you can do. Dig out your old guidebooks or check websites for ideas of what you may like to do that you haven't done before. Use the prior year crowd calendars and likely EMH hours schedules to get an idea of which park on which day. Read menus for the restaurants for ideas for new places to eat. Read other members Trip Reports here on the DIS. There's plenty you can do to keep your anticipation level up. :cool1:

heck yeah. agree, agree! watch youtube vlogs, etc. refurbs will be announced to look forward to. I love planning. i''m starting to get depressed because it is almost time to go, which means it will be over only 11 days after that. then what. (which of course says something about my life...)
