I’ve always wanted to try skipper canteen but my DH and kids are so picky, they’d never find anything there to eat. That’s another reason why we tend to eat at the same places, I know they all will find something to eat there. Id like to try Skippers canteen, Tiffins, yak and yeti and Morimoto, but my family’s not that adventurous. May just have to tell them next trip to suck it up and deal with it, we’re branching out of our comfort zone lolThere are also restaurants I like that I haven't gone back to for a while. Jungle Skipper Canteen is one of them so that is on my must-do list for May as I really enjoyed it when we last dined there. It was probably in 2018 mainly because DH doesn't like to do MK but I've roped him into it at least for dinner.
The fish plate at Skipper Canteen is beyond delicious, the curry one as well.I’ve always wanted to try skipper canteen but my DH and kids are so picky, they’d never find anything there to eat. This appetizer is absolutely delicious. Mrs. wabbott has made them for me a couple of times.I’ve always wanted to try skipper canteen but my DH and kids are so picky, they’d never find anything there to eat. The "It Tastes Like Chicken" and the "Hardy Har Char" Siu Pork" are pretty nonadventurous for most. It's been a while of course but the Char Siu Pork was soooo good.I’ve always wanted to try skipper canteen but my DH and kids are so picky, they’d never find anything there to eat. We're trying Tiffins for the first time. I've wanted to do that for years. 'Ohana has been on my list but I look at the price and always remove it. I just can't bring myself to pay that much. Close to the cost of a Signature is just a hard no for me. DH has wanted to eat there in the past but I feel bad because I always talk him out of it.I think for our upcoming April trip, we might try Tiffin's. We've done the Tusker House recently and were impressed. Also, 'Ohana's, which we've not been to since about 40 years ago.
Interesting question. Although we are local now we did come down regularly before moving here. We made it a practice to include a few of our regular restaurants each trip but we also included a few new restaurants. There are so many different places to eat at WDW and it's fun to try new ones. Who knows, you might find a new favorite.I'm planning a trip for April and while jotting down the places I want to eat, I came to realize it's the exact ones I had for my last trip!
Boma, Sebastian's, Boathouse, Ohana, etc..
I keep wanting to try new places but have had such good experiences with these ones that I want something I know I will enjoy.
Anyone else feels that it happens to them?
Definitely want to try Topolino's!Interesting question. Although we are local now we did come down regularly before moving here. Round up was amazingWe visit a few times a year, stay for 3-5 days. We try new restaurants, but revisit favorites more frequently. First time visits over the past two years were Polite Pig, Nine Dragons, Skipper’s, Space 220, the Plaza, and Topolino’s. All of these were one and done for us except Topolino’s, which was added to our “repeat rotation” group, which also includes Boma, Sanaa, Jiko’s, California Grill, Hollywood Brown Derby, San Angel Inn, Il Mulino, and Yak and Yeti. We will sadly drop Chefs de France from our rotation as it hasn’t recovered to its prior standards. Such a disappointment as we’ve always enjoyed the atmosphere and the French staff. Other former repeat restaurants we’ve stopped going to are Rose and Crown, Cape May buffet, Tusker House, Flying Fish, Crystal Palace and Yachtsman. We used to go to Monsieur Paul’s before it was a multi course meal, but aren’t likely to go there again. Still want to try Narcoosees, Citricos, and Rodeo Round Up.
Yak and Yeti has a burger & fries on the menu....it's one of the places that my adventurous and non-adventurous eaters enjoy.Id like to try Skippers canteen, Tiffins, yak and yeti and Morimoto, but my family’s not that adventurous.
