Does anyone else get anxious???

About making your reservations????

My 7-month window is on Thursday of this week. And I want it to be here now so that I'll know where we will be staying

We have our wish list made with our choices - AKL-Kidani-Savanna-1 bdrm; BLT-MK view-1 bdrm; BLT-LV 1 bdrm; VWL-1 bdrm. So now all I have to do is wait until Thursday morning and I'll know where we'll be staying. {We really aren't too particular about were we'll be staying. I'm happy as long as I'm at WDW }

It is almost so bad that I can't sleep at night - is there a 'cure'????

Anyone else ever feel this way??

We just closed on a resale and are looking to make reservations for January - 3 months away. Anxious is just the start. To make things worse, we're looking for a 9-day, and 3 7-day rooms for family so we're on the edge of our seat. Hopefully all will work out!

I am always a bit anxious..we just booked a split stay for AKV and BLT and had excellent results! I do have to say, we have always had great luck w/waitlist.

I am trying to decide if I want to book at SSR at my 11 month window and then call at 7month to switch to a different resort. We are thinking we want to try the Wilderness Lodge. We are looking at October 28 and 29 of next year.

I think I'm the most anxious the day before the trip. But I'm already thinking way too much about my 7 month date on Oct 27th.

I am..I want to add a night at 7 months to my May VGC stay..I call on Wednesday morning..fingers crossed.

Well, today was THE day to call for our May reservations. It could not have been easier. I called right at MS opening, didn't even have to hold. A very nice CM took my reservation And we got a 1-bdrm at AKV Savanna - our first choice. and we'll have points to bank for next year.

I am usually anxious when I book at 11mths, I would surely be even more anxious at 7 mths.

I, too, find that this is the first step to planning each vacation. Once the resort is book, it's time to look for seat sales, then planning the schedule for each day so that I can plan the ADRs.

Glad to hear you were able to get your first choice.

I get more anxious about the actual trip (by the way, we leave Saturday for AKV!!!).

I love planning and figuring out points and where to stay. We try to figure out our trip a year or so in advance so we can use the 11 month window at our home resort (SSR). Once we pick the week, call and book, there is that sense of YES...We are going back!!!

Then we start thinking about where we would like to try at the 7 month window, as we want to stay at all the WDW DVC Resorts (we have SSR,OKW,BWV's and now AKV). Planning our last vacation, we knew our daughter would go head over heals for AKV. We did save a few points booking a Standard 1 Bedroom - figure we will be out and about and see the animals that way.

So far - we have not had a problem with any resort at the 7 month window. We even got BWV's during the F&W Fest in 2006.

Anxious Why would I be anxious? I just might have to adjust my plan!

As you can see I do get anxious well before the opening date of the 11 month or 7 month period. We are in process of closing on some AKV points and I'm biting my nails that our closing won't happen in time for the 11th month mark later this month for our first reservation at AKV in September 2010.

That's just a side effect of being a DVCer!

Yep, I get anxious too! The worst was earlier this year when the first reservations for both the THV and BLT opened the same day, and we REALLY wanted to get a THV for our June trip. I got what we wanted but I was stressing..in a fun way though! lol

A cure? Sure. Buy more points, some at each Resort; that allows for an 11 month window anywhere.

There are always cures - it is whether or not we can afford them.
