Sushie is DDs favorite meal. It is our Mom and Daughter evening out from time to time.

That is one of the most ignorant statements I think I've read on DIS. Basically by you calling sushi not a real food, your discounting the diet of the whole Japanese culture for centuries.
I've been eating sushi since 1985, so it's one huge trend here! I will admit to not caring for those fried rolls--they're heavy, and just odd to me. I've seen some rolls with cream cheese in them, too, and find that beyond strange. While I don't like the Americanized fried or cheesy rolls, I love the Korean take on sushi. Hwe dup bap (vegies and fish scattered over rice, but with Korean pepper paste rather than wasabi) is different, but really good.
I can remember having some pretty decent burgers in Japan... pizza, too! I don't know about "centuries," but they certainly had burgers (and pizza) almost half a century ago. I do remember seeing a lot of rice, noodles and even soups and steaks, but I do not remember seeing or even hearing about sushi.![]()
If it was intended that I consume raw fish, I believe I would have been born with gills.

Well, I acquired my sushi habit over 60 years ago in Japan. Lived there for 5 years and our nanny/housekeeper used to give it to me. Now I didn't get the sashimi habit until I grew up. But then I wasn't going to places that served burgers or pizza. She took me to real Japanese restaurants as well as noodle carts and to her family's home.I can remember having some pretty decent burgers in Japan... pizza, too! I do not like it, but it is a currently an 'in' food, so it is popular. Foods, like many things, come and go in mass popularity.
Were you born with a tail?Or, when you eat meat because its cooked you lose the tail?
