Does anybody NOT like Boardwalk??????

I think it is a pretty resort but I will never stay there again b/c of the bus situation.

You have to share a bus with Swan/Dolphin - NOT Disney owned properties
You have to share a bus with Yacht and Beach

This makes for crowded busses and takes twice as long to get anywhere

This is a heated topic for me. You know how much a deluxe resort costs there is no reason to share busses. I can see maybe one other resort but NOT 4.

I don't dislike BWI but it is last on my list of Epcot resorts, for the same cost I much prefer Yc/Bc.
The resort itself is really lovely & the guest rooms are among the nicest at Disney IMO.
Another poster mentioned how inconvenient self parking is, I agree. Obviously not an issue if you don't have a vehicle but this was a source of irritation for us during our stay there. I also found it odd that all the restaurants require you to go out onto the Boardwalk for access. The clown pool.....really is that the best they could do at a deluxe resort??? Some of the moderates have more appealing pools.

Now, none of the above are *dealbreakers* but those are the reasons I will always choose Y & Bc over the BW.

As an aside I would love to see nice food courts at all the Epcot resorts.

Our "Do Not Disturb" sign was out. I always put it out when we go to bed. And of course I'm complaining. We're entitled to our room until 11 am. I understand wanting to clean rooms as quickly as possible to have them available for other guests but if our sign is out, and we've explained we aren't ready to leave, it'd be nice if they'd wait until the "Do Not Disturb" sign disappeared. It's disappointing to hear this is a common occurrence throughout the park. And 8 am? Wow!

Oh, I would be complaining too...that's really obnoxious!

Of the Disney resorts I've stayed at, Boardwalk is my least favorite. The bus situation was rough, I didn't like the theme, no food court, all the restaurants outside, etc. All the good points about the resort - such as the actual Boardwalk with all the restaurants - can just as easily be enjoyed by spending one evening strolling the Boardwalk while staying somewhere else.

On a trip several years ago, we stayed onsite at CSR which we love. My mom, brother, and his kids flew in and stayed at the Dolphin. We took the boat from Epcot and as we passes the Boardwalk, I absolutely fell in love. That Christmas, my husband gave me DVC with the BWV as my home resort. We have not regretted it for one minute.
The clown thing amuses me because people hate it but then they are not bothered by a volcano. LOL

In any event, of the Epcot reports:
1. BW-it's cheery and bright-makes me happy
2. Dolphin- more deluxe than the Disney deluxe
3.Swan- love it but not quite as much as the Dolphin
4. BC- light and airy but overrun with kids-don't get panties in a wad. Mine are grown and I've been through the noisy resort period. Last year I booked it because my friend's son was 9 yo and I knew he'd love the pool. My own family is not in love with SAB.
5. YC- Felt like my grandma's and grandpa's resort. We had a suite but it still was not a good fit. CMs left a lot to be desired. Once and done
