Does any CM or any one know?

Let me add it to my list of things to find out. I'll ask someone from security on Tuesday when I go to work.

My gut feeling is it would be a No but you just never know.

Thank you for asking for me. I really appreciate it. Im thinking its probably a no also, but it never hurts to ask

I hope you weren't thinking of something like this.

Because I don't think you'll get it past security. Though they do look cool. :thumbsup2

No, not like this. Much smaller and not so extreme.

Ok, let me just preface this with the statement. I asked if there was any CM or anyone that knew if this was ok? My intent is not to ruin YOUR disney trip. And its unfair to throw judgement on me because I would enjoy confetti. I was recently at a function where a large confetti gun was shot off and the children all around LOVED it. Now I am willing to abide by Disney policy, but too many people grade their enjoyment at Disney on everyone else around them. To be perfectly honest I dont even notice anyone else when Im there. I dont allow my children to be rude, cut in line, touch people next to them or be obnoxious in general. I march to the beat of my own drum and Im sure there are people out there who think... that it would be fun. So sorry if I offended anyone with my idea of fun, but thats life! And I have to say that there are lots of people at Disney not following the rules there to begin with. I follow all the rules and I plan ahead so thus the question before I go so that all my ducks are in a row.

Again, Im sorry if this topic offended you and what you might think is not fun. It wasnt intended that way.

I can't imagine something like that WOULD be allowed! It would make a big mess, and enough people already throw their garbage all around without someone shooting confetti all over the place. Just think if we all brought something like that in. The parks would be a mess! It doesn't sound "fun" to have someone shooting bits of paper all over.

You may not want to have a negative impact on other's vacations, but there is no way to shoot confetti out of a gun not have it affect those around you. I agree that something like that is probably kind of cool, but Disney World is not the place for it.

Can you post a pic of the kind you are thinking of? Because I am sure I am not picturing it correctly.
It does sound like a fun idea but I would be surprised if they let it in...but seeing it might give us more of an idea!

I don't think people are passing judgement, not me anyways. I am sure your instent is for the pure enjoyment of confetti.

You asked if you thought they would let a confetti canon with an air compressor in, and with beefed up security in the world, I don't think so. Frankly an airplane won't let you bring a bottle of Shampoo on with you (more then 2oz.). Not that you intend to use it maliciously, but with the right planning, I am sure you can.

You'll shoot your eye out!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Nice!

I sat through Spectro last year with a couple of young kids shooting a bubble gun pretty much on top of my head. I had to wrap my camera in a zip lock bag, to keep it dry, and I pretty well needed to rinse the soap out of my hair by the end of the parade. I'm sure that most people would have had something to say to them about it, but they were having a great time, and I didn't want to ruin their fun :)

I probably wouldn't enjoy having confetti shot at me any more than I enjoyed the bubble bath :rotfl2:, but I also wouldn't complain about it, it's just part of the Disney experience.

I seriously doubt that security would allow something like that into the park though, just because of the potential for someone getting hurt, the possibility of it being modified and used as a weapon, and the chance that it could scare someone, or cause an argument, or other disturbance.

It's 3.4 oz or 100ml

However I agree with the rest of your post. This would be a situation where 'just because one CAN do something doesn't mean that one SHOULD do something' most likely applies.

I don't think anyone is being harsh with you. People have raised issues and concerns that you really should take into consideration.

Sorry you haven't gotten the answer you wanted.

I'm sure they will have a definitive answer for you.

And I have to ask, how would you clean up the mess you create?

I bet you would notice someone if they suddenly rained confetti or something else down over you. I'm not trying to be rude, I'm just saying there's a bit of a double standard there. Also with the "or be obnoxious in general" because imho, taking it upon yourself to add confetti to whay Disney already has planned is being pretty obnoxious.

And back to the bubbles, not only can they make things slippery and mess up hair and clothing, there are people who are allergic to the solution.

Sorry...I vote for sticking with whatever Disney has planned. If you want to use a confetti gun (and can get it on the airplane, which would surprise me) save it for your hotel room.

I know I would notice you if you set of a confetti cannon near me.

Beating to your own drum does not mean forcing others to be part of your drum. If you love this then do it at your own home not in a crowded public area.

Pixeldust Fairy I noticed you cut the bottom part off your response to this post. Interested in why? Don't you think you should clean it up? CM's have enough to clean without the added mess.

To be honest, I didnt mean to cut off the quote. But to answer your question about the clean up. I personally think that the mess it would make wouldnt be any more than the popcorn that is spilled over at the end of every parade. Or the shaped confetti that is sprinkled over kids heads and thrown in the street anyway. And maybe its wrong to think that the disney street vacume could take care of it, since they will be running it anyway. But like I said it was just a thought.

And its quite obvious to me that the simple thought of having any type of fun outside the box creates problems with EVERYONE. It was just a question, and obviously I have my answer from the swarms of complaining people about the prospect of me even thinking about taking something of the nature to Disneyworld. So at this point I will not comment anymore on this thread. I really apologize if this has offended anyone. Like I said before my intent wasn't to ruin your visit, but to enhance mine!

Let's say Disney gives you the green light on this.

Are you going to clean up the mess you make?

Are you planning to do this in a crowd? If so, are you prepared to deal with angry guest?
