I know JetBlue does but not sure about AirTran. Also would it matter if I bought r/t vs 1 way? Any help/advise would be much appreciated :worship:

No, Airtran will not credit ticket prices if the price drops.

They will but you have to pay a $75 fee to reticket. You would be best to book round trips vs one way fares since there is little chance the price will drop $75 on a single one way, but it could potentially drop $75 on a round trip. If you have seperate one way fares, you have to pay $75 on each, vs just $75 one time on the round trip.

Are these new rules??????:confused3:confused3:confused3 I booked last yr at one price & within a few days our ret. flight dropped by approx. $52 pp or something like that. I called & got a credit applied for the difference to our A+ Rewards acct. (good for 1 yr.) Bcuz I had to call to get the credit they DID chg. $15 pp to process it - but it still left me with $45 pp credit!! I used it for our flights this past summer...

I booked with them last year and called about changing my fare and was told I would have to pay the fee, which was more than the savings. So far the only 2 that I know that will give you the price difference is SW and JB. However, on Airtran last year, they cancelled my flight and put me on a connecting flight which I did not want and I called and they did refund me the entire price of my tickets -- then I purchased my return flight on Jetblue. (I had gotten a great price on Airtran and had used the coupons, but I just didn't want to do a connecting flight when my flight is only 2 hours non-stop.)

:confused3 hummm... I guess I will call them to see if they've changed their rules. I had zero problem last year getting a credit back for the difference when I called. They just charged that $15 fee for doing it by phone.

The policy has been in place for some time. Though in February of 2009 they started to enforce the policy.

the policy has recently (within the last two weeks) changed back to where they will give you a credit that can be used later. Its part of a policy restructuring that they are going through which includes the new oversize/overweight baggage rules that they are rolling out on October 1st.

I called two nites ago and sure enough was able to get a credit. I was told no in June, but what I have learned with WDW, always call back!!
