Does a Universal Vacation Club exist like DVC?

I was just wondering if Universal was in the timeshare/vacation ownership biz.

I just went to to the Wisconsin Dells and took my first ever timeshare tour. I did not buy, not even tempted. But if Universal had such a program....I think I would be tempted.

I did a google search and only came up with timeshare companies (and there seem to be plenty in Florida) that gave away Universal tickets as part of their incentive.

Thanks! :goodvibes

Hey IowaGirl, looks like we're neighbors!

No, Universal isn't in the timeshare business. There are several kiosks for timeshares in the parks (Fairfield, Wyndham Palms, etc.), but they really aren't related to Universal, and they aren't on or even near Universal property.

I'm a bit of a timeshare junkie myself, owning at DVC, Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt.

I feel like this needs a revival. With epic universe coming, is now the time for Universal to develop a vacation club? A main area of focus for universal was to add more hotel rooms so people would see universal as a “destination” and not a side bar to Disney. They have been aggressive in adding hotels leading up to its third “gate”. Is now the time for a Universal Orlando Vacation Club? I wouldn’t be surprised to see it a year or two after epic universe opens. It could be built on the land between epic universe and the current IOA/UO parks.

Ok Feeling lie a little bit of a traitor. DW and I are going to universal in November for 4 days. We tacked this on to a 15 night DVC spilt stay. UOR used to be just a 1 day side trip to our Disney trips back in the day. Now as others have stated, it has become a multi day destination. It would be interesting to see if they ever do a DVC type club. If so and it included things like discounts on annual passes, express passes, etc that would make it super compelling.

If only!

Now as others have stated, it has become a multi day destination.

It's been a multi-day destination for me since 2010. We've stayed as long as 8 nights at Universal and had a blast each time. OK well the 8 night stay involved me and my son recovering from the bug that swept the nation January 2014 (so so so much sicker than either of us got years later with corona) and sleeping half the day, but it was still fun.
