OH yeah, definitely!!! Every time I smell roasting nuts, I think of the Entrance to World Showcase at EPCOT. You know they have that cart right there. YUMMY!!!!!!!

I actually go to Bath and Body Works before every Disney Trip and get a new scent and use it that whole time so when I get back, I just have to take a sniff and it brings me right back! For example, Coconut and Lime=week at Old Key West, Cucumber Melon=Very first trip to Contemporary, Candy Apple=Disney Cruise. It's amazing how your smell sense works! I have now started taking the wall outlet thingees too in the same scent so the whole room smells like it. Now I need a new scent for this upcoming trip just for me and dd!

May I suggest Peony (my latest fave)or perhaps Cherry Blossom....you know I have the same reaction to certain scents and my trip to Europe. One of thegirls on the trip with me had this certain product and now every time I smell it where ever I am all I can think about it Europe, it's funny how one smell can bring you back

I've got the best one:

On my Disneymoon, my backpack broke, so I bought an Alice in wonderland one at MK. After 5 days in 90+ heat, the bag reeked! I've always been very concious of my BO, so I normally never smell, so i think that's why everytime I do realise that I'm a bit funky, I think of Disney now! Isn't that horrible!!?!

I'll have to find some new scents on my next trip!

I just thought of something I hope the Tag Fairy doesn't see this post! I can only imagine being branded the 8th Dwarf--Stinky!

I second the bus fumes!!! the other day when I picked dd up from kindergarten we were walking to the car behind the buses and she said "mom that smells like DisneyWorld!!" I knew it did for me the smell instantly transports me to a Fort Wilderness golf cart but she has never had that expirence so I was pleased and surprised and just replied "I know isn't it wonderful!!" 39 days and counting!!!!

Daxx- we're neighbors! I live in the Southtowns. The restaurant you're thinking of is Kahunaville. I'm so disappointed that it's gone. I told my dh that when we were in there, it kind of felt like Disney.

i have just asked DM what smell reminds her of disney.She said the smell of my prickly heat cream everytime we got in the car it was all she could smell!

Okay, I've got a funny smell story for you. We were riding on the Disney buses one morning to go to the parks, and I smelled this peculiar smell. I commented about it and numerous times asked my family, "What is that smell?!!" So we get off the bus, start our day, and I smell it the next time we are seated on whatever attraction. It's driving me crazy and I keep asking what is that? It just was an unpleasant, odd odor. My family then proceeds on to Space Mt, and I'm sitting there by myself when I bend down to tie my shoe, and I almost die! The smell was me! I had put some lotion on my legs that morning that I had in an old little travel container, and it must have gone bad. I was so embarrassed. I spent quite a few mins in the restroom soaping up my legs to get it off. We laughed and laughed about it the rest of the day. I just hope no one else realized it was me!

Normally I would have said that I never really experienced this...but just two weeks ago, I was hit with a smell that brought me right back. I was ringing up a guest at work and she smelled so sweet....she smelled EXACTLY like that candy shop right on Main Street. Oh my goodness, all of a sudden I felt like I was right back there ready to get a caramel apple. I wanted her to stay in the store.

OMG!! I do the same thing. Plumeria-Caribbean Beach Coconut/lime-Cabins at FW Sheer Fresia-All-star sports. It is amazing how it brings you back. The Caribbean Beach trip was 6 years ago and I still picture it vividly when I smell plumeria. Any suggestion for my trip in 2 weeks? We are staying at SSR. Maybe something fruity?

The smell on the monorail is very distinctive to me. It smells faintly like oranges combined with really strong air conditioning. Kinda hard to describe what "air conditioning" smells like, but my mom and brother know exactly what I mean.

Whenever I get on the monorail, I get giddy!!

This is such a funny thread, because I know what you mean!!
There is a Subway in our town with elaborate decorating and I swear the bathroom takes me back to POFQ every time I go there. I can't really pinpoint what it is, but the paint scheme and fixtures just takes me back everytime. Also, the Chinese donuts that you find at all the China Buffet restaurants remind me of beignets from PO food court. I never leave with out having a "beinget"!

Ok - this is extremely odd, but ... so am I.

My office bathroom sometimes reminds me of WDW. I think the cleaner is either the same or similar and occasionally it hits mein such a way that I think I'm back in the world.

lol - since the rest of you are remembering sweet smells and my smell-memory is a bathroom, I KNOW that I need psychological help!

I haven't really found any smells that really take me back. The smells that I really look forward to that make me feel like I am at Disney are the smells of mainstreet. I think it must be the bakery. Also, spaceship earth and POC.

I have not found another place that smells quite like main street & the baking! OMG- it is wonderful! And I am crazy, but the suns shines brighter at WDW that any other place in the world...it's just lovely! Only an addict could come up with this!
