The smell of sunscreen!! I always buy the same brand for our WDW trips, so when I put it on at home It feels like Disney!

Ok this is a little odd. but... On our trip in January my DGF brough this "Aussie" mousse stuff. that she and i both used. Well for the weeks after that whenever I smelled her hair ALL I could think about was WDW... but two months ago she bought this new kind... she swears it is the same kind but I KNOW it isn't because it doesn't smell like our hotel room at Pop

when ever i smell sulfur or something burning it reminds me Pirates of the caribbean.

for some reason the smell of the old figment ride w/ dreamfinder , just comes back to me. I can't decribe the smell though.

That is so funny.. When DH and I went to WDW two years ago..I always wore this particular lotion (coconut lime verbena)..now whenever I wear it, even two years later, my DH will tell me I smell like Disney World...I thought that was so cute..Ill be packing the lotion for our next trip in October..

HAVEN'T TALKED ABOUT THIS LATELY, BUT I NEED A FIX AND IM NOT GOING ANYTIME SOON. SO HERE IT GOES. MY DAUGHTER PICKED UP A BAR OF SOAP LAST WEEK AND SAID MOM THIS SMELLS LIKE DISNEY WORLD. tHE NEXT DAY I SPRAYED THE PEFUME I WORE THE LAST TIME WE WERE THERE AND AGAIN "MOM THIS SMELLS LIKE DISNEY WORLD. I CANT TAKE IT. I WANT TO GO BACK SO BAD I CAN TASTE IT.

I actually go to Bath and Body Works before every Disney Trip and get a new scent and use it that whole time so when I get back, I just have to take a sniff and it brings me right back! For example, Coconut and Lime=week at Old Key West, Cucumber Melon=Very first trip to Contemporary, Candy Apple=Disney Cruise. It's amazing how your smell sense works! I have now started taking the wall outlet thingees too in the same scent so the whole room smells like it. Now I need a new scent for this upcoming trip just for me and dd!

I do this too!! I thought surely I was the only one.

Another vote for the smell of my sunscreen. Also my husband had this particular air freshner in his car that he used when we drove to WDW in 2003. A couple of months after the trip, I used to love to ride in his car and take deep breaths in because it reminded me of our trip to WDW. After the scent wore away, I had to buy one for my car! Which reminds me, I need to get a new one!

I've always said there are more smells than sights I remember when returning home. The lobbies of the Poly and CR, must be the cleaning products, have a remembering aroma for me. Even the whole smell of Florida, when we step off the train, gets me and the wife giddy. We're like 2 little kids, and we're over 50, just to catch the first glimpse of the monorail track, a bonus when we actually see a monorail train, the entrance to WDW and finally the complete aroma of a pool area, with our suits on ,a drink in our hand and the toot sound of the transport boat, thats Disney for us ! Nothing can take it away and nothing can beat it !

My dd just said this on Sunday night at dinner! My dh had barbqued chicken and she said it smelled like DisneyWorld! She said it reminded her of the Turkey legs you get in the Magic Kingdom.

My WDW smells:
CHRISTMAS!!! Pine mixed with cinnamon. You know when Santa's tree passes by you in the parade?? That SMELL!! I LOVE it!! So, I have a pine and a cinnamon candle burning all the time. Takes me right back.
Also, the Cinnamon kiss coffee from WDW takes me back. And, gingerbread..I miss my gingerbread boys shaped like Mickey with chocolate dipped ears.

Nothing smells quite like WDW at Christmas.

Everytime I go to China at Epcot, I buy these great little inscense sets and everytime I burn them...back at Disney.

Basin at DTD, the smells in there. I stock up and then come home and order more soaps. My gosh....again, takes me right back.

There are a few things, DH bought a Donald Duck watch on our last vacation and the band was leather and it really smelled. He would smell it and say it smells like the water at Pirates.

For me its a Partylite candle from christmas that smells exactly like the Christmas store in Downtown Disney.

DH grew up in Florida and he will smell the end of a orange where the fruit was attached to the tree and that reminds him of living in Fla.

yes! we are not the only family that "smells" WDW. It is the smell of the air that makes my DH want to go all the time. My DD(s) will go outside before we leave for school to check out the weather and often will say, "MOM, it smells like WDW outside!" Of course i rush out to catch a whiff. lol ALso Dh who is a truck driver will call me to tell me as he drives thru NC, i can smell WDW . He just like to rub it in alittle.

Ok, I know I have a slight problem. Im a Disney addict. So much so that we were driving the other day with the windows open and I smelled a smell that I can't explain. But it reminded me of frontierland. I guess it was Barbecue. Charcoal or something. I had to stop for a minute and take a big wiff.
Do you think I need to seek psychiatric help?

Course Not ! Well...That is just my opinion I get the same feeling when we go to Universal Studios ! I cant explain either ! Its just the Sun Screen and the water...i have to take a big wiff too and it feel awesome ! feels like a home away from home

When I actually had shorter hair that I could somewhat use gel with, I had this really wierd smelling hair gel. And I used it in my August trip two years ago...and now whenever I need it, I'll take a whiff of it and I'll be back at the Wilderness Lodge Villas...

Brillant!...mostly because I do the same on vacations in general, but with different sun tan lotions (surprisingly there are many formulas with different scents).

This really works, and each time they take me directly back to the particular vacation that I used the lotion.

This is definitely an improvement over what I did at B&BW. About 5 years ago, I decided to have a "Disney scent", one that I'd ONLY wear at Disney. So I went and bought Tangerine Spice. Well, it's long since been discontinued, so I'm holding onto my 5 year old bottle of it. I think it's time for a new scent! Perhaps a different one every trip would be good.

One year I went to Bath and Body Works and found a shower gel and lotion that they only put out durning the summer. I cannot think of the name but whenever I smell it during the winter months it reminds me of all of my trips to WDW. Matter of fact I'm going into the closet right now just to get a whiff.

I haven't read through all the posts, but I'm sure someone mentioned the orange smell from Horizons. Every time I smell oranges I think of Horizons. There are also some yellow flowers in Morocco that smell so good. Sometimes when I go to a nursery I can smell them and think of Epcot. The last smell is from BWV. When I smell a certain brand of suntan lotion it reminds me of the smell from the lobby and hallways of the BWV. Weird, I know!!
