Does $39.95 Passport ticket count for extra days admission too?

Sea World's website isn't very user friendly at all, but their Passport site is even worse! I can't find any info that says whether or not the special, discounted $39.95 ticket that we can purchase as Passport members for other family members, counts for extra days admission. The website says that "all Sea World tickets are eligible," but I want to make sure. If it doesn't, I'll forgo this special and just purchase a regular ticket with my $8.00 Passport discount, so that I can get extra days admission.

Anyone know? Any help would be appreciated, Tiger

Short answer - yes it will be good for 7 days of use.

I bought one of those tickets for my Mom last month. Here's what I can tell you about them. When you purchase them you have to input the name of the person using each ticket. Supposedly only that person can use the ticket, but when I went they did not check ID to match name on ticket. They also say the passholder has to attend the park with the person, again they did not check this. You have to print them from your computer. When I printed mine out it had instructions on it about trading it in at guest relations for a ticket good for a total of 7 days, but we saw everything in the one day so we didn't actually trade it in.

BTW I agree that the SW/BG Website is very confusing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! That's a great deal and will be perfect for my daughter's first ever ticket - she turns 3 next month and we are passholders for both Sea World and Disney, so she gets her own tix now too!

I didn't want to call back customer service because I had already done so right before I posted as they had my account all messed up, and I couldn't log into the site, plus the agent wasn't too helpful or friendly on the phone. So, I figured I could just wait until a kind DISer informed me of the rules. One more question, is there an expiry on the ticket that you printed from home? We are going June 30th, so I wondered if it had to be exchanged within a certain amount of days?

Thanks a lot, Tiger

The ticket I had expired April 30, 2006, but I just looked at the site and the lastest offer doesn't expire until July 31, 2006 so you should be fine. I'm very glad you asked this question because I didn't know they had extended the offer. Now I'll be able to take some friends this summer at the cheap rate.

I'm so glad I could actually help someone. I was only lurking on the DIS to get info on Disney - I'm a Disney novice so I can't help anyone on those forums. When I saw this forum and your question I had to register and answer it - I was so excited to actually know the answer to someone's question! I may be a Disney novice, but I've had SW and BG passes on and off for the last 10 years.

BTW, in case you didn't know, SW has now set up a separate passholder entrance into the park. If you go through that entrance, you won't have to wait in line as long.

Have fun! :)

Thanks! I am not a Disney novice at all, so I totally appreciate someone being able to help me out for a change! I so appreciate it!

Welcome to the boards, by the way! Tiger

Can I receive these discounts as a Silver Passport member?

Also, I can't sign on to the Passholder site. Can these be purchased at the gate?

For the person who can't access member site. You have to have your pass ID number to get into the site the first time. Then you make a name and password to get back in. They ask for birthdate and then your screenname and password to get into the site after that. I am not sure if you can access it before you get the actual card. Seems like I remember having trouble getting in when we first got the paper voucher, too.

As for the $39.95 ticket for family and friends. It states that the passport member must accompany the guests into the park and that the $39.95 ticket can not be used with any other offers.
Quote from member site....... "Passport members must accompany guests on day of visit. Limit 6 guests per Passport member. May not be combined with any other offer. Offer only valid on single-day, single-park admission. $39.95 price only available on-line with advance purchase."

Could mean you can't get the 2nd day or 6 day offer with it????? I know that the $39.95 play like a child ticket for Florida residents getting you in the partk at the child ticket price stated on all advertising of it that it was for one day admission and could not be used to upgrade etc.
But Sea World likes to get you back to the park to spend money so I bet anything is possible. <g> I know even with our passes we tend to spend at least $100 every time we go to the park on food and stuff.

What part of "all Sea World tickets are eligible" was confusing ? ( not saying their site is Great but Fair is Fair ) :confused3

mjgruber - Your sarcasm isn't necessary! I am an English teacher so I know how to read, but thanks for your help with that. It doesn't matter if promos say "all" or not, I have been in similar situations lots of times where I've been told that the store, restaurant, etc. forgot to specify exclusions, and since most promos have some type of an 'errors and omissions' clause, or a 'subject to change at any time' clause, not all items may be eligible.

Not sure why you would waste your time answering this post if it doesn't pertain to you? So many DISers seem to have too much time on their hands to waste on threads that they have no interest in but to judge others or make people feel badly for asking in the first place. As an experienced DISer, this really drives me crazy!

Thanks to all who answered my question, Tiger

Tiger,
I would suggest emailing seaworld (you can link to it from the contact us page) and get this in writing.

My experience (with Busch Gardens). I called them and asked them if they would still be selling the 2005 fun card mid-december 2005. We wanted to go for 3 days and at that time they weren't selling the anytime ticket, therefore, I would have had to buy 3 one day admissions without a fun card.
I also emailed them and they wrote me back that YES the 2005 fun card would still be available for purchase mid-Dec.

Mid-December I show up at guest services trying to buy the fun card and am told "Sorry we stopped selling them at the BEGINNING of December". :confused3 I quoted names/dates of people I had spoke to etc . and that was getting me NO WHERE. I then showed them the email.
All of a sudden they decided to sell me the 2006 fun cards but activated them mid-December 2005. :teeth:

Needless to say, we are going back to Busch Gardens for a few more days later THIS year!!!!!

I called Sea World today and got my info sorted out so I could sign onto the website. I can't believe the $39.99 deal.. I'll be taking 3 friends with me June 2nd.. $39.99 is a an amazing price for such a good park.

I am a newbie in Seaworld and plan to visit SW next month.

If someone is a passport member (including Annual Pass <fun card holder>?), can (s)he purchase the one day ticket for $39.99? If Fun card holder can get that discount, can I be a fun card member and buy the discount tickets for our family? How about child ticket (same $39.99 price?)? I am also wondering if Fun card purchase is limited to Florida resident. I don't find any restrictions in the fun card purchase section, though.

Fun card is also known as the bronze card. It will not get you discounted tickets for friends or discounts to food, etc or free parking. It generally makes sense if you go with a large family for one person to buy the platinum and get all the perks for everyone in the party who are just fun card holders.

Can anyone clarify what passport membership level (platinum, gold, silver, or even bronze <fun card>) is required to get $39.99 ticket?

Does anyone know if there is a similar offer if you are a Silver Passport member at Busch Gardens, Tampa?

not to bust anyone's bubble - but i just called SeaWorld and asked about their Anytime Program - the program where you can get 6 consecutive days free park admission when (as their website and a poster above notes) you purchase "any" park tickets.

well, i needed to know for sure about this info as well. The person i spoke with seemed very certain and very in the know about the details she was spewing to me and she said that the Anytime Program offer is not valid on any discounted tickets. only on full price tickets.

Now that is not to say that she might be wrong, but if you want to use this perk with your ticket and it is a disounted ticket - i would call and speak to someone high up on the food chain and then ask to get your answer in writing.

I just spoke to "Rose" at SeaWorld, and asked specifically about the $39.99 friends and family ticket for Silver Passport members. She said it WAS available for the Anytime Program upgrade. She said "any ticket purchased this year" has the Anytime Program available.

I also sent SeaWorld an email. I'll post their reply when it comes.

Here is the reply I got in response to my email inquiry. Note the last sentence!
