Oh, Dan and Vince, I am so very, very sorry for the loss of your beloved Doc. Such a fighter and a love. I hope that soon both your and your family's sadness will be replaced will smiles at the lovely memories of your dear, dear friend.

Oh Dan, I'm in the middle of the same agony too. Doc was gorgeous, and had that fighting spirit that inspires everyone around him. Dogs give us a pure love, a unconditional love--- I think that is why when we lose them, it is so hard.

Many condolences to you and Marie. Looks like you have a great group waiting on you at the bridge, and Doc is in wonderful company.

Doc sure was a big handsome fellow, and its clear that he was well loved. As hard as it is, you did the right thing. When living becomes too painful, then its time to let go. Doc is not hurting anymore.

I've always felt that Rottweilers got an unfair reputation. The ones that were vicious had all been badly mistreated. Our friends have a Rottweiler, and when they are appropriately cared for, they are the nicest, gentlest dogs.

Thanks for sharing Doc with us, Dan. And to you, Marie, Natalie, Vince, Lisa, and Dr. Hintermeister, and all who loved Doc.

How wonderful that you had such an amazing vet and staff guiding you through everything. I would have given most anything for that comfort when we lost our Riley a few years ago.

Sobbing was not on my schedule this a.m.! Bless you and your family for caring so lovingly for this dear pup! I had a cat spent half her life very ill and know the hope that comes with treatment and the apprehension that accompanies every little setback, as well as the pain of finally easing their pain. Oh Dan, I'm so sorry to hear about your dog.

I remember how supportive you were to me when I had to have my beloved cat put to sleep when it was discovered she had inoperable cancer in her spine. I regret not being with her when it happened, but at the time I didn't think I could handle it. I will always regret that I wasn't there.
