Doc; Memories of a buddy, a family member **a few thoughts added, pages 5 & 8**

I'm sorry Dan. I know how hard it is.

Your pictures are beautiful. You really captured his spirit.

My heart goes out to you & your family. :sad1: I am glad his time came when you were able to be with him in his final moments to help him on his journey. (As opposed to him crossing the bridge alone while you were at work or food shopping). I know if my dog was ill, that would be my biggest fear. Doc was so lucky that you were able to find a great vet with a great staff!!

I love the pics!! He looked soo sweet & gentle, yet regal & noble!

Doc was beautiful, what a wonderful tribute Dan!

I know your pain, I have been there. Their lives are just too short...{{{HUGS}}}

He sure was a big buddy! Pets become such a part of our life, they truly are family. I am sitting here crying for him, and you and your family.

Dan, you made me cry! I've got big tears rolling down my face now. I'm such a sucker for animals.

The love and devotion you had for him is obvious; he knew how much he was loved and cherished. I hope you are all able to find peace and sleep tonight.

Oh Dan, I'm so sorry. Your tribuet to your friend and family member made me cry. But I'm glad that Doc isn't suffering. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dan, I am so sorry to hear of Doc's passing. I have been where your family is several times myself and feel the same way you do about euthanasia. It is so difficult but a gift to one who is suffering. I feel blessed to have known the beautiful animals I have had in my life. I feel their presence sometime still.

Your Doc was a beautiful and noble friend.

Dan, I'm so very sorry. It's so hard to lose a good friend like that.

Please take care and give my condolences to Marie.

:grouphug: So sorry to hear Doc is gone - he sounds like he was quite a blessing for you and your family.

Oh Dan...my heart is just breaking for you and Marie and your entire family :sad1: Doc was such a lucky dog to have such a caring, loving family and I am sure he has just as many fond memories of you all as you have for him. Thank you so much for sharing pictures of Doc, he was absolutely beautiful and you really can tell how happy he was with all of you.

:grouphug: :grouphug:

Dan and family, so sorry to read that Doc had passed away. He sure was a tough fella with a big heart. Angus, One of our Scotties, was diagnosed last week with a nasty cancer which will not let him stay with us much longer. He is such a funny dog.. it is breaking my heart.
It is a good thing that we can show our devotion and love of animals... yours is outstanding.

I'm sorry about Doc. It is so hard to say good-bye to a furry friend.

somehow I was drawn to the boards and to do a search for your posts. I guess there are angels that guide us through the day and mine brought me here.

I know the loss of a pet - family member really - can be so hard. It took me months to get over my Shadows and I still tear up with I think of her. It is 6:15 am here Thursday and thankfully no morning makeup has been applied since it all would have been washed away by now.

We all do what is best those we love, in the end knowing we'll ease their suffering makes it just a tiny bit easier to let them go.

I'm glad you have a new little one in your life now, the baby is beautiful and he'll keep both you and Marie quite busy.

My prayers for Doc, he's running, pain free now and with all those who will play with him until you and he meet up again.

Take care

denise

Oh God Dan. What a wonderful friend you were to Doc to have enough compassion to do this for him. It looks like next week I will be saying goodbye to my Pepper. How am I going to get thru this. . .
