Do your pets sleep with you (Inspired by the talking to your pets thread)

Yes Bogart always sleeps with me. Funny story last night after we got back from seeing Ben Folds it was super cold in the house because I had the heat off b/c it had been warm earlier in the day so I put Bogart on his back on my arm under the covers like a little baby thinking he would get warm in a minute and then go and get on my feet like he usually does and he slept there for like 3 hours. It wasn't really bothering me until he started dreaming out loud. *whimper whimper* kick. *strange muffled bark like noise* ok bogart time to move....

The Scotties sleep in the bedroom with us. They both have little beds. Mac is free to hop up and down on the bed as he chooses and he does like to snuggle in the winter. Tipper will paw the side of the bed if she wants up--she has some joint issues and can't hop up. I'll lift her up and she can stay if she chooses. Since they have so much fur, they are usually more comfortable in the floor or on their beds. Tipper does enjoy taking naps with me, but she is a kicker.

Yup, a twelve pound weiner dog takes up a lot of room!!!!!!!!!!! But.... I wouldn't have it any other way. :dog2: :dog2:

Yes! Princess (the dog) either sleeps under the covers by my side or on top of the covers by my side. Gracie (the cat) will sleep occassionally with me in the bed, but not much because of the dog. :)

bootsie is sneaky about it,, she waiyts till we are asleep then snuggles between dw and i on the pillow between our heads,, shadow will during colder weather sleep in our room, sometimes if really cold he'll snuggle along sid eof me all night but ussually he sleeps either outsid eif its warm enough or on floor at theside of the bed, right now dw is watching tv in bed,, andhes snuggling with her, after the lightsareout he finds hisregular spot.

OUr two cats will sometimes grace us with their presence but that usually leads to them playing and getting booted from the room. They both come say night night though.

I missed the talking to pet thread (I'm guilty of it) and yes Scout and I do share a twin size bed when it is time for nugh nigh (yes that is baby talk). In fact he is in bed right now waiting for me. The hard part is that if I move at all during the night he inches over ever so slightly to gain more bed space (he sleeps on top of the covers) and if I go to the bathroom he sprawls out and I have to get a treat or drag his sleepy body out of my bed. He is good about waiting for me to pat the blankets before he comes up.

Sometimes I let the wienie dog up in bed with me. :dog: She burroughs to the foot and stays there all night up against my feet or legs. And heaven forbid you move...or you hear this giant sigh coming from a very little dog to let you know you have disturbed the princess from her slumber. :rotfl2:

This sounds really familiar! Bailey has slept with us since she was a pup. She gets under the covers and between me and DH. Same thing with the sighs...she lets us know when she is not happy about being disturbed.

My cat starts out sleeping with one of the kids, but comes into our room every morning at 5AM...I can tell time by her. She gets on the bed, and "kneads" my legs, or lower back, and then settles down. I love it! Sometimes, my Dh will try to shoo her off the bed, and I tell him "over my dead body!" I have my own personal masuesse. :teeth:

My cats always sleep with me or my DD, at our feet. The dog never did. It gives dogs too much status in the pack to sleep with you. And, oh yeah, she was over 100 pounds :dog:.

No way! We have a big black lab, a queen size bed and a 4 year old boy who crawls in pretty much every night around 2 am, so there is no room.
She either sleeps in her kennel in our room, or in the living room on the couch.

Nicki sleeps with DH and I. She's a ****zu-terrier mix who is as cuddly as the Lord made'em.
Sugar, the cat, will sleep with me or DD if she's in the mood to sleep with the humans.
Doc, the lab, has a 2 bedroom dog house in the back yard that is "home sweet home" for him.

lol when it's cold ALL the animals try to sneak into bed with us. One night I woke up and couldn't breath or move. Took me a second to realize why.....my american bulldog was on one side of me, my pom was on the other, one cat was laying across my belly and the other cat on top of my head. I screamed "get the H@!! off me" so loud they all scattered crashing across the room. My husband never even moved. :rotfl2:

Minky sleeps in the room, at the foot of the bed or next to the wall. DH calls him Camoflage Dog when he trips over him in the dark(he's a big black poodle.) :dog2:

No, my German Shepard sleeps on the floor at the foot of my bed.

Yes, but only when Dh is out of town....Chico :dog: runs to the bed as soon as I head up....He loves it....DH refuses to allow him in our bed.....so I sneak him in when DH isnt home....

The thought of sleeping with animals in the bed truly disgusts me. If I HAD a pet I wouldn't even consider it.

Well then you would be "disgusted" by my house. :rotfl: We have 4 dogs and a cat. ALL are allowed on the furniture, and the bed.

The doberman and lab sleep on the bed each night. (In fact I can hear them both snoring right now!) Kitty sleeps up there too. (We obviously have an enormous California King size bed!) The two fuzzy dogs (Keeshonden) usually sleep on the floor as the bed is too warm for them. My hubby works nights so it is nice to have someone to snuggle!

Sometimes if it is very cold I put them all on the bed. It is too cute.

When we are on vacation it is so WEIRD not to have them in the bed. They are very snuggly!

Here is what my husband rolled over to find the other morning after I had left for work:

That's Reebok the Lab and Bubba the Doberman. He took the picture with his camera phone. I could not stop laughing when he sent it to me. (I am easily amused!)
