I like to monitor what they watch. In fact, I have all 3 of the MTV channels and BET blocked from our cable. My students think I'm the meanest mom around (one girl even said "I've been watching MTV since I was 6") but my kids have never been allowed to watch and don't miss it. Robin M.
LOL. I had this tiny black and white tv in college. I'll never forget when I moved home after graduating that I was now an adult and I had my own money so I could go out a buy my own color tv set if I wanted to!
And my 13, 11, and 10 year olds don't get to see MTV either. I'll let them stop at a good video if we're channel surfing but that's about it. Though we did watch Made and Rich Girls for a bit. Made was a great show. I can't believe some of the things my friend lets her 13 yo watch. I just can't believe some of the things MTV shows!
