Brought my wedding ring of 15 years in to be cleaned yesterday and had a rude awakening. My prongs holding my diamond in are so worn down that they are flush to the diamond. The jeweler told me I should get a new head put on or I am in danger of losing my diamond
My husband suggested I don't wear it everyday and only on special occassions but I feel an emotional attachment to it. Do you have a ring you wear as a replacement for your wedding ring for everyday? I was looking at the diamonique rings on QVC.

) and recently discovered that one prong has broken off completely and the others are very warn. I've stopped wearing it until I can get it fixed. I'm currently wearing a $5 "stand in" band from Kohls. It's a pretty ring but it's going from silver to a goldish/bronze color quickly.
(sorry that sounds funny) I also go to school. The days that I am in the house cleaning I don't wear my rings I only put them on before I leave the house. I don't like to sleep with it because the diamond sticks out and I gotten scratched while sleeping before (not sure how I manage to do that). I would replace the prongs as many posters said before me. My mom diamond felt out twice even after she got it fix. She is lucky and found the diamond both times once it was in the car she found it while cleaning and the other time it felt in the kitchen while cooking.
