Do you wear your pajama bottoms outside the house?

  • Are you kidding? Why would I do such a thing?

  • Darn tootin! They are so comfortable! ::yes::

  • I won't say if I do. But that doesn't mean I don't. ;)

Do you?
I know I certainely wouldn't, but I've seen people of all ages (yes, even grown men and women!!! )wearing pajama bottoms at the grocery store, at the fast food joint, the mall and just about everywhere else one can think of.

I think it's wierd, personally.

This is big on the HS campuses! especially on final exam days.

(No way would I wear my "I Love Lucy" jammie pants out of the house!)

No, but I see this a LOT. It is a little slovenly to do this, no matter how cute the wearer is (or the pjs!)
I would not go out with curlers in my hair either. Well, maybe to my mailbox. :teeth:

I have, but my pj bottoms are yoga pants, which don't really look like pjs. I've worn them on occasion when dropping dd off at school.

Nope and I'm in college. I have shown up to class in black fleece pants once or twice but those are not pajama pants. Only I leave my house in pajama pants it's only to go check on the pool in the backyard

That's what I think too if I see them outside the house. I mean, dropping your kid off at school or goiing to the mailbox is one thing. But running around in public in your PJs on PURPOSE is just...lazy. It's like you rolled out of bed and were too darned lazy to put on real clothing.

Yes, but only to bring in the mail or trash cans. Maybe to drop DH at work - as long as I don't have to get out of the car :)

This is a pet peeve of mine. How hard is it to pull on a pair of pants?

The kids in my daughter's school do this all the time! It's become almost like a contest to see who can show up with the cutest PJ bottoms. I myself would never do that but I also remember being a kid and wanting to do and wear strange things (not to mention the purple punk haircut I wore in the 10th grade). So I let my kid go with the latest trends even though I cringe a bit when she walks out of the house with Twilight Zone PJ bottoms.

I'm not ashamed to admit I wear my PJs outside the house. They're really more like yoga/lounge pants, though. I'm still stuck in college mode. LOL :)

Yes....yes, I do. I wear my pajamas to the post office. I wear my pajamas to my early doctor's appointments. I wear my pajamas to my parents' house. I wore my pajamas to drop off my car and pick up my car from the mechanic when it was squeaking. I wear my pajamas to go to the drive thru. I also wear my pajamas to go to the transfer station to bring the trash.

So, yes....I'm am a proud pajama wearer!

This is another thing I think is fine for young kids (or college campus), but do not think looks OK on grownups - I never would. Don't get me wrong - it doesn't bother me when some of the moms wear them to the busstop occassionally - but to the grocery store or out - no way.

Many of the girls in DD's theatre classes do and I wouldn't mind if DD did - but she has never shown an interest and felt a little funny about wearing PJs to school when they had a special PJ/sleepover program. Now that you mention it, I have seen much less of it this year than last - so maybe the fad is on its way out!?

:wizard:

I do sometimes, but they are like yoga pants. I wouldn't wear my flowery or plaid pajama bottoms out of the house...except if I was driving DS down to the bus stop. If we walk, I pull on a pair of jeans.

No, I don't. But my DD does at swim meets. They make great warm-ups.

Only one pair, they are Victoria's Secrets and they say PINK on the back, I suppose they could be regular pants as well though.

Times have certainly changed - when I was in high school, that was a recurring NIGHTMARE of mine...to show up at school, and still be in my pjs. :scared:

I must admit, I do wear them when I'm walking the dog at 5:30 a.m. I have also worn them to drop off my son at band practice, but no more. I was only going to drop him and run, but of course ran into another mother there, so stayed for about 15 minutes in a conversation, MORTIFIED because I was in my pajamas...sans um...support.

Yes, I have been known to go to the mail box, go through the drive thru window and take my dogs out to use the restroom with my jammie bottoms on, but only wearing doodles underneath. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Just when I run to get my mail or take out my trash. Never to the store or anything.
