Do you wear your classring?

I never got a high school ring. I did Iget a college one although it does not look like a traditional class ring. I'm wearing it as I type!

I never bought one. I warned my HS friends that they needed to derive benefits exceeding the full cost of the ring before they started college because they would never use it after that. None that bought them ever wore them after the summer following HS graduation. For some, it was still worth it. For most, it was not.

I do see a fair number of adults wearing college rings. There is a disparity amongst colleges. I never see University of Texas rings, but I see a lot of Texas A&M rings. I think that Aggies are more clanish and the rings serve as a useful clan identifier.

No, and I don't know anyone who does. I don't think my kids are interesed n getting one either. When I was in school you just HAD to order one, now not so much.

I wore mine in HS but stopped once I graduated. The only person I knew who wore their class ring after graduation was a man I worked with. He was in his 30's and graduated from MIT. I think he wore it as a status symbol as the beaver design is quite striking and other MIT grads would recognize it instantly.

I don't even know wher my HS ring is. I know I bought one, but I haven't seen it in ages.

I asked my parents to not buy me a class ring...so expensive and nobody wears them after high school

Instead they bought me a beautiful real Emerald and diamond ring , that represents my class ring and I wear it almost everyday for the past 15 yrs.

I wear my college class ring. I graduated in '05.
It's like others have said though. You really can't tell it's a class ring unless you look closely. It's just a small silver band with the University crest really small on the top, engraved with my grad year. No stones or anything.

I got my high school class ring when I was a freshman so I wore it just about everyday of high school until I graduated. I didn't wear it after that.

I am still in college and haven't bought a class ring. I don't know if I will either.

I didn't want a HS class ring, as I knew I wouldn't wear it after college. My parents did get me a really pretty blue topaz ring for graduation, and I still wear that from time to time.

I did get a college ring, but it too doean't really look like a class ring....just looks like a black onyx coctail ring. I very rarely wear it though...it is pinky sized, and seems to always be too big or too small when I go to put it on for a special occasion.

from highschool or college? How many years out are you? I don't know anyone that wears one - dh & I were talking about it today - he does know 1 person (man) - but that's it.

Nope and Nope, wear neither cause I bought neither! I got out of HS a year early and did not even think about the ring...then off to college and wouldn't spend the money. I used to wear my moms from Julia Richmond HS in NYC, LOVED That ring, very un-traditional looking and pretty.....

This is what I will offer my kids. Well it doesn't have to be an emerald but a regular ring of their choice..

Graduated from H.S. in 1979, wore my ring through college, and my daughter wears it now in high school--hers is on order, so I guess it'll get retired when hers is delivered. Still occasionally wear my college ring. Guess I'm a big old dork, but I really wanted those rings and have enjoyed wearing them. They represent an accomplishment to me. My sister told me not to get the college one because she said I wouldn't wear it, but I have always enjoyed wearing it---since 1983, by the way.

No, I lost mine about 6 months after I got it. I know a lot of people that had their parent's spend big bucks to get one of the fancy gold/gemstone ones that didn't wear them past high school. I've found about 5 class rings though! I'm like a magnet for other people's class rings.

Yes I do. It's my HS ring and I've been out for 23 years. It's NEVER come off my finger for long periods of time. Even when I gained weight, I just moved it to my pinkie finger. ;)

I only had a H.S. one...I graduated in 1986. I think I may have worn it my freshman year of college, but then stopped. Never wore it again after that. Last year, I decided to sell it with some of my old gold. I don't miss it at all... (it was actually kind of ugly! LOL)

I graduated HS in 1983 wore mine every day until I married in 1990. I wore it ocassionally after that, then sold it with some other gold & another class ring I found in 2008 to help pay for my Disney trip. I miss it once in a while, but really didn't wear it enough to say so.

I have been out of college for over 20 years. I still wear my ring.

I haven't worn any rings in years. I started developing arthritis in my fingers in my forties and I play bass guitar a lot, sometimes with two bands a day, and my fingers swell from that. If I don't play my fingers stiffen up. My class ring was the first to be set aside, followed by my fire chief's ring and finally my wedding ring.

I still wear my high school one. I got it as a sophmore and have worn it ever since. I graduated more than 10 years ago. I never did get a college one. I always wanted to get a nice ruby one to represent my college, but have never gotten around to it. I like my high school ring because it doesn't look like the traditional class ring. Most people don't even realize its a class ring.

I got a H.S. ring. I did wear here and there during college. I do wear it once in awhile.
