Do you wear your classring?

Wore my HS ring for the years I had it in HS...end of Sophomore to Senior year.

Wore my college ring for a little longer...probably till I was about 23 or 24, then put it away.

Chances are, if I had it to do over, I wouldn't have spent the money.

I wear my college ring every day. I graduated in 1995. I take it off only if I am traveling abroad and I am concerned about safety issues (the ring has Hebrew script).

No. I graduated in 1976 and never wore it again. I ended up selling it to a gold dealer last fall when gold had spiked...it paid for about a third of my 3-day cruise on the Wonder.

I don't even have my original high school class ring, my boyfriend lost it. He did buy me a new one, but it wasn't "the same."

I rarely ever wore it, and got married shortly after graduation so it's been in my jewelry box since September 1975. DH doesn't wear his either.

I wore it while I was still in high school and a little bit into my first year of college. Ever since then its sat in the jewelry box.

I only wore it in HS and maybe a year or two after. I still have it in my jewelry box, and I was actually considering wearing it a couple of weeks ago, but it actually was a little loose. Which is strange because I was about 40 lbs lighter then. I guess my finger got thinner.

I had one in HS (as did most of my classmates -- class of '90) but I haven't worn it since I graduated and I don't know any "adults" that wear one.

I never knew they even sold college class rings......?? I don't know anyone that ever had one of those.

my brother wears a class ring but he went to the naval academy,

I never got rings for either HS or University. DSS wanted a HS ring and we had this discussion. The rings they offer through the schools are so gaudy and ugly that there was no way he would have worn it; and I refuse to spend $600 on something that will just end up in a drawer. What we did was get him a plain signet ring from a local jeweller. It has his initials on the top and the HS info on the inside. He is much more likely to wear it into adulthood. We found it a good compromise.

I graduated 20 years ago and never wore my class ring after graduation. I can't think of a single person I know who wears one.

I wore my HS ring once-to graduation. My college ring, OTOH, I wear daily (and have stated it to be among the jewelry I am to be buried in). My dad wore his every day, so I guess that's wear I get it.

I wore my HS ring in HS (in the 70's). I actually like it because it was before class rings went to the generic look. I never wore my college ring. I still have both of them.

I have worn my grandmother's high school since I was in high school. I graduated in 1990. She graduated from the same high school in 1925. She died way before I was born and my Daddy had the ring. It is much prettier than anything they were selling at the time. It is one of my most precious posessions and I will always treasure it. I love things like that make me feel connected to my family. For years, I never took it off, but I had to have it repaired several times and now I'm afraid to wear it as much.

Sadly I lost my gold HS class ring . It meant a lot to me as I grew up very poor and had to collect enough pop bottles to pay all of $12 for it back in 1964!!

We really had to pinch pennies, but it seemed so important and such an honor to buy our 4 kids their gold HS rings. Unfortunately it turned out to be a waste of big $$$'s, as they became obsolete once they got their college rings. Our girls college rings collect dust , but our DS, US Army officer, wears his academy ring quite a bit.

I had our DD's HS rings made into a gold nugget charms that they wear on a chain. They turned out quite unique gift that have a lot of meaning.

Mine was very pretty and meant alot to me since I had to save up to buy it. I wasn't wearing it because DH had bought me a mothers ring for that finger. I had the stone removed and set so I can wear it as a necklace.

Nope. Didn't even get one because I knew I wouldn't wear it past high school. I got a regular men's ring instead from a normal jewelry store - I still have that and do wear it.

Class rings are over-priced and over-rated.

I wear my high school class ring if I'm going to some sort of a function in my hometown (happens like once a month or so, maybe). I wear my college class ring a lot when I go 'out' to a function or somewhere that I dress up because I love it so much (its pretty unusual, it has a square jade stone engraved with the college logo rather than a 'regular' style class ring). I also wear my wedding and engagment rings, Grandma's diamond earrings and my Pandora bracelet on those sorts of occasions...but on a daily basis I don't wear any jewelery (not even my wedding/engagement rings).
