Do you wear pantyhose?

If I were to ever wear a dress again, I would wear pantyhose. I have not worn a dress in nine years, so it isn't a big concern. I never wear them with my shorts!

I also refuse hose because of the cost. I'm not shelling out $5-10 per pair to try them on my skin and they run so easily compared with tights.

Cram a bare foot into heels? I don't understand. I do it all the time in the warmer months. With a suit. To court. And all the women I work with do the same. Except in front of juries so older folks don't judge us for not.

I'm not quite 40 and have pasty white legs. I also work at a pretty conservative firm. I never wear pantyhose - not to weddings, not to court, nowhere. I moisturizer after I shave, dress, and go.

I do wear tights quite often winter. I find them soft and comforting and not the sausage casing, spirit strangling, budget draining horrors that are pantyhose.

This! I'm 43, an attorney who works for the state. Very occasionally, I have to wear them for a meeting. I strip them off the second I am able. I despise them. I remember having an argument before one of our appellate courts when I was pregnant and I had to buy a pair of maternity hose. They had a massive run halfway through the day. I have a hard time paying that much for something when I know there's a good chance I'm only going to get one use out of it. Throw in the discomfort factor and I'll pass, no matter how my legs look (pale and I bruise ridiculously easy). Our office doesn't require them daily, just for meetings with those highest on the food chain.

I'm looking at a knee replacement in the next year and imagine I'll have a nasty scar. I don't imagine that will change how often I wear hose.
