Do you wear makeup to the parks?

my DW says the only thing she is putting on her face is sunblock and lip gloss to protect her lips. she said she doesnt bother with makeup, only when we go to PI, because the heat and sweating will ruin it anyway.

I'll be wearing my make up. I'll just reapply in the lines as needed. I like to tan so some days I may not wear it. Depends!

I hardly wear make-up at home, but I will be tanning 1 month before we leave, so I will probably use some waterproof mascara, eye liner, and probably some tinted lipgloss w/SPF. And I will get some of the Coppertone Oil Free and Waterproof sunblock for Faces that I saw the other day. I use Aloette's moisturizer and it has SPF in it as well.

L'oreal makes a good waterproof mascara. Maybeline always flakes on me for some reason.

L'oreal does make a GREAT waterproof mascara!!!!! Highly recommended here also!!

For those of you that use Bare Minerals. Are there any stores where you can buy it, or do you have to mail order it? I'd rather not end up in their "club" where you automatically get sent a 2 month supply every 60 days.

I ALWAYS wear my makeup!! Especially for those pics. I feel ugly and naked without it. I even carry my powder foundation, lipstick and blush with me to freshen up when we hit the bathrooms!! Hopefully I get a little sun and then I can skip the blush. L'oreal makes a good waterproof mascara. Maybeline always flakes on me for some reason.

i hear ya, so do i! i carry it right in my little disney pouch.

i am very fair and burn very easily. i don't even tan, just straight to the burn. i end up looking like a lobster. red and hurting . so, i use olay moisturizer with spf30, and then MAC studiofix - which also has spf20 in it. (it is a powder that covers like a foundation, but feels like a powder. MAC is also has GREAT products and colors - found at a department store)

then i use a lip gloss or chap stick and eyeliner. depending on the day i will put blush on too, like i said i am very fair, and since i can't tan to add color, i add a little light colored blush.

plus like another dis'er said, vacations are time for pictures, and i like be able to have some color on my face for them

I order my Bare Minerals from Sephora. They have a nice package which includes a cleanser, concealer brush, 2 large applicator brushes, 2 shades of makeup, one "Warmth" and one finishing powder. It also comes with a DVD that explains how to apply it and all of the little "tricks" for use. You do not need to join their club/order every month...it's a one time purchase. (You just reorder of you ever want more.) I believe they are doing a free shipping special right now (otherwise they offer free shipping with a $75 purchase) and they always offer free samples when you check out. I order mine online, but there are many Sephora stores throughout the country.

Oh yes! I am a self proclaimed glamour puss! I do not go out without it, but this is obviously a personal choice. I can imagine in the extreme heat and humidity of the summer that most of my makeup would melt off, I still put it on anyway!

Thanks for the info, dinks and mslil65. The Mall of America is relatively nearby, but I hate that mall. (I think the lighting in there triggers migraines for me.) I'll have to check out Sephora.

I don't wear a ton of make-up, but I do wear some and like others have said, I wear it because of the pictures. With the way my hair looks in the humidity (think Medusa) I figure I've got to at least do something with my face to keep from being truly frightening.

It seems like most of you use lip gloss for your lips, which seems like the way to go, but for those of you who actually use LIPSTICK, how do you keep it from melting in the heat? I would prefer my lipstick, but it always melts. Is there some sort of "lipstick cooler" you keep it in?

My eyes fade into my face without makeup, so I wear a waterproof mascara along with my sunblock. As many others have said, everything else just disappears before lunchtime, so why bother with it?

Do you use lip liner first? Also if you blot a tiny bit of powder on your lips after you put in on, it helps keep your lipstick on. Hope that helps!

... The heat and humidity made make up disappear and hair go flat after a few hours so I just quit wasting my time doing it.

On our DL trips I was the same! Except I have curly hair and it was SOOOOoo curly I couldn't do much with it!

I wore make-up everyday and I wouldn't have gone without it. I wore:
*Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
*Waterproof mascara
*Eye shadow and liner(and it lasted ALL day, 12+ hours even! But that's thanks to my primer I put on before)
*Blush
*Tinted chapstick

I even blow dried my hair straight almost everyday. The only time my hair went crazy was on the rapid ride in AK or when it rained. Other than that, it was perfect.

No its disney!!! with the heat it will melt and it willmake all the colors blend, wich looks bad. It may even turn brown!! eek! so my best suggestion is do NOT weat makeup in the parks
