We’re filming Disney Vacation Club®Member testimonials during your stay!
Dear Member Family,

Members like you are what make our Disney Vacation Club family so magical – and that’s why we love hearing about your unique stories and experiences, and finding out what gives you #ThatMagicalFeeling of being a Member!

In just a few days, from August 23 – August 27, 2024, we’ll be filming testimonials at specially-selected locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, and since you currently have a vacation planned during our filming window, we want to give you and your family an opportunity to have your Member stories captured on camera – and possibly even included in future Disney Vacation Club videos and more!

Here’s where you can find us filming each day:
  • August 23: 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
  • August 24: 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, 4 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Disney’s Boardwalk Villas
  • August 25: Disney’s Riviera Resort – 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the walkway to the Disney Skyliner, 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. at the Lobby Balcony
  • August 27: Disney Vacation ClubMoonlight Magic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios® (prior event registration required)
We love hearing about your favorite Home Resorts, the friends you’ve made through Disney Vacation Club, the vacation stories you’ll never forget, the years of celebrations you’ve shared on vacation, and so much more. So if you happen to be in the area during these dates and times, feel free to stop by and see us!

Interesting, has anything like this happened before? We’re there Sept 1 at BWV for a few days so we’ll just miss this, but I hope someone on here goes and check out if there’s any new or interesting info shared!

I saw something like this at least 15-20 years ago for DVC. It was more like a recruitment for families that were of specific demographics if I remember correctly.

They probably will just film and then choose what they like. I am sure everyone potentially in the filming will have to sign off.

Most companies would have to provide some incentives to get customers to participate in something like this. Disney doesn't because "How cool would it be if our family was included in a Disney promotional video?" That is def part of the Magic:smickey:

At least one of our Kids would definitely be a YES.

I'd say YES if it would get us in Moonlight Magic @ DHS ;-)

The closest thing I’ve witnessed was a commercial being shot out on the green at BWV. Cute 2 kid family with their ears and ice creams skipping along lol. The typical WDW commercial kind of stuff.

I wouldn't do it unless they'd give me a good amount of money if selected to be included in the video.

my guess:
No compensation 100 sure.. It is an HONOR to be chosen (yea right)
It will be a 4-6 hour process. Make up, talking you through process, lighting - all that stuff
You may not even in the final infomercial, or in for less than a minute.

Go for it if you have the time and interest.

If you have a 13 day vacation might be worth it/fun/interesting... especially if you bring the kids... since MGM studios doesn't offer that kind of attraction anymore...

Otherwise, I don't need to be on TV that badly.

Yeah, no. I would not share a heart warming story for The Walt Disney Company to profit off of without compensation. Hard pass.

What would convince you to do this?
Personally, I'd do it for no less than a 50pts add-on contract for the Poly.
I would just take cash value of those points so I won't get stuck paying AD!
