Since my PJs consist of lounge pants and a baggy shirt I have no problem. I just don't want to see females in booty shorts and skimpy tops. My last cruise I saw several teens in onesies and I wondered if that was a new "thing" or if they SERIOUSLY lost a bet. LMAO

My shortie nightie - definitely no. Not appropriate outside my bedroom. Enough said.

Flannels, yoga / sweat pants - not a problem. Probably will on our upcoming Alaska cruise. :goodvibes

I don't think it makes a difference WHAT you wear as pajamas...it's tacky.

Well... we can't be having tacky people on Disney Cruise Line...

The ships have a "dress code" for a reason. I think they'd prefer people are "dressed" when they eat or walk around the ship.

Fascinating... can you tell me where I can find this "No PJs outside your stateroom" dress code you speak of?

I was also taught to never walk around in just a swim suit. "One must always wear a cover up".

Maybe you were also taught not to worry so much about what others are doing....

Look, with the exception of the PJ Breakfast mentioned upthread, I have never walked around in PJs on the ship. I also tend not to worry about what other people are wearing. Unless you are impacting my ability to enjoy my cruise (being "tacky in public" doesn't count), I'm not going to worry about how other people are enjoying theirs.

Your outfit might make me giggle a little... but it's going to take a lot for me to complain about someone else's choice in attire.

I don't. When my DD5 was up in the middle of the night (3AM) during rough seas (18 foot waves, fun!) I threw on my workout clothes for the next morning to take her for a midnight stroll. She stayed in her (long sleeve long pant) pjs. Was it odd?
No weirder than her wearing pajamas to Pluto's PJ party.
Side note: the cast members we ran into were very helpful and asked is if we needed help finding medical. Thankfully we don't suffer seasickness.

We saw a lot of people in their p.j.'s in the theater at night. They also had blankets. I thought it was great.

People shouldn't have to be told not to wear pajamas in public. I thought that was common sense, but apparently not. Thankfully, according to the poll, these people are in the minority.

Oh dear! Oh dear!
I am cruise etiquette compliant. We love to dress up and are always smart, (because we want to be)

BUT...:scared1: it turns out i'm one of "these" people! Yikes!

Personally we wouldn't wear PJ's to a meal or the theatre, but we all wore them late at night and early in the morning to the drinks station. We might have even been spotted at the late night funnel vision movie with PJs and blankets! :rolleyes1

For some reason I was always awake at 4-5am. As I couldn't get to my balcony without waking the kids sleeping in front of it (major flaw!) I would take my book upstairs, grab a coffee and find a quiet place to watch the sun rise...in my PJ's! :scared: (The are cotton pj pants with a t-shirt. But I did always brush my hair and put on underwear!)

I would never leave my house and never wander a hotel in my PJs but it didn't even cross my mind in this situation that it wasn't OK. Maybe because no-one else was awake? Maybe because I was amazingly relaxed?

Either way, even though I have now read and considered carefully each argument, i'd still do the same again. :goodvibes sorry.

Sleep in and you won't see me ;)

Yup - thats me you see walking around the ship in Sheep PJ's bottoms and a t-shirt / sweetshirt.

Would I walk around a hotel in PJ bottoms - yes. I go to stores at home in my PJ bottoms (although those are usually a little less obvious than Sheep).

I would never walk into the Dinning Room wearing my PJ's but the less formal areas - yeah I'm all about being comfortable. I find my PJ's comfortable....

MAYBE if my room was right across from the laundry and I had full pajamas--pants and shirt--I MIGHT run across the hall to grab my laundry out of the dryer.

Maybe.

Unless the alarm went off signaling an emergency, I cannot think of any other scenario where I might do that.

I think judgey people are way tackier than PJs in public.

I wear yoga pants and a t shirt. No one would have any idea that it was my PJs. I also hang out on my front porch all summer and walk to the neighbors in the same thing. We just call them comfy clothes in our house and all hang out in lounge pants when we aren't out and about. So I would have no problem leaving my room wearing them to run to the drink station, pick my kid up from the kids club, etc. but I won't wear them to the theatre, dinner, or anything such as that just like at home I wouldn't wear then out the the grocery store or to go out to dinner.

I delivered FE's at 7am one morning in my Mickey themed PJs. Judge away...I was comfy! °o°

Kids come to school in pajama bottoms all of the time now. It is sorta a fab, I think. Pajamas are the new sweatpants.

Brilliant!! I would have never thought of it, but sounds so fun. Again, especially in a group setting. An organized late night PJ & Movie night. Way fun:thumbsup2

I guess when I see people walking around in PJs it makes me wonder when the last time was they bathed, brushed teeth, etc. I tend to keep more of a distance in a queue. It's not something I personally would do, and I guess first thing in the morning if I saw folks sneaking out to grab a coffee I'd be less judgmental, lol... But when I see teens in the middle of the day in jammies looking kinda grubby, i just think eeeewww... I can't help it...sorry...

On my last cruise on the Wonder we had a WONDERful FE group. I delivered my fe's in my Mickey pj's. On Halloween morning a bunch of us ladies gathered at the Cove Cafe in our Mickey PJ's for coffee and girl time.( about 15-20 of us)
It was a blast.

My kids have been around the ship in their PJ's esp on the Magic when they had Goofy's pajama party. We have lots of pics of them with characters that night in their PJ's. They were 2 1/2, 5 and 6 and there Pj's were Disney nightgowns so it was pretty cute IMO. But me no I don't think I would go out in my PJ's on the ship. I usually sleep in PJ shorts so I probably could throw on a hoodie and no one would know the difference but I would:)
