I'm wondering how many adults actually do this. I would never walk out of my room in pajamas.

since its not my home, no. i think its odd that others would but good on them if they do.

I wouldn't be caught dead! Even if the ship were sinking in the middle of the night I wouldn't come out of my room in my pajamas/sleeping clothes.

I have seen a few people in the last morning in pjs - when they have packed everything the night before. I have also been part of disboards meets where they have arranged to meet at breakfast in pjs. Nor for me though - although funnily enough I bought a Mickey Mouse onesie today!

This thread was inspired by another where someone said they went to Meridian for a smoke in their "jammies".

Considering my "pajamas" - really what I hang out in the cabin in before bed - is long flannel pants and a hoodie sweatshirt, I have no issues walking around in them to the drink station or even for an early morning Cove Cafe run.

I'm the one Yes vote so I'll explain. A couple of nights we were all ready for bed but our kids were too wired so we took them out for a walk to get them tired.

The other time we did this is if one of the kids woke up before the other one. We just grabbed him/her quickly so the other kid/parent could sleep.

I wonder the age of the poster who stated that?

I've seen teens flying in their pajama pants. And I also wonder why a DISmeets group would want to go to breakfast in their pajamas? Does it really take too much time to put on a pair of shorts and t-shirt?

I don't see the problem in walking to cove cafe at 7am in pyjamas. Done it numerous times.

I see people at the drink station all the time in PJ pants is this what you are talking about? I have been looking for some just to wear to the drink station in the AM. I also would never go out in my pi's but it seems like PJ pants are worn everywhere these days not just on the ship. Also if my kids were completely covered I would let them go out with me in the morning in their pi's. It seems so much easier I assumed that is why others did it. I have never seen anything inappropriate. I also would be wearing a sweater or something if I was not wearing undergarments. I also would brush my hair :)

I also would never wear them at either and don't understand why some people do. I'm not sure I have seen anyone doing it on the ship but have seen it at just about every hotel at the breakfast station in the mornings.

So nipping out for a drink early morning to take back to a room in pjs is unacceptable, yet it is perfectly acceptable for people to walk around in skimpy bikinis and swimwear out on deck all day.:confused3 if everything is covered why should it be an issue.

Where in my post did I say it's unacceptable? I said I would never do it and don't understand it. I guess you could say I'm a little :confused3 about why so sensitive!

Amen!! I know the "pajamas" I wear out cover far more than ANY swimsuit I saw on the Dream last week - including those at the children's and family pools!

Yes I do and I have a really rational reason:

I work night shift. I often cruise with people who aren't night shifters. I wake up at weird hours at night (I go to bed at like 10pm on my days off and then wake up super hungry at 0400). So in order to not wake my party up, I grab my book, grab my flip flops, and find a quiet place either in the atrium or on deck 4 and read. I grab a cup of coffee or tea and I sit and read. I like the quiet time. It's one of the few perks of working nights is on my days off I can sit and have quiet time. Sometimes I sit on my balcony, sometimes I grab coffee and enjoy the boat. And it's easier to slip out wearing my flannel pj bottoms, my thick hooded sweatshirt, and sandals along with a bag I pack the night before (book, chapstick, room key) and not wake up people. I usually am back in my room by 0600.

Whenever I go on a cruise or stay at a resort, I pack yoga pants and cute fitted tees to sleep in. That way, it doesn't look as bad if I need to leave the room for any reason when I would normally be wearing pjs.
