do you usually have your next trip planned before the current one?

Right now I have 3 trips planned: June (solo trip), October (family trip), and Feb/March 2004 (DH and me). I reserve at 11 months for really important trips, like the October family trip. My June trip was decided at the end of March. I was lucky to get my home resort (VWL) for that one. Next years trip was booked at around 11 1/2 months out. It is fun to decide at the last minute to head to WDW (I did this last summer also) and to see what resorts are available. I've always gotten VWL, but would stay at any of the DVC resorts if I am with someone else. For my solo trip I wanted my home resort because I am familiar with it and since I won't have a car, wanted someplace to have some meals.

Usually plan current and following year and roll forward from there. AP utilization drives some of our planning. Right now we have two reservations remaining for this year (Vero in May and BCV in October) and plans for 2004 trips sketched out, but not yet confirmed.

We have two trips planned already....one for July (our summer vacation) and a New Years Vacation. We are also in the works for our next summer vacation. Planning is a big thing in our house.....we will be doing a Disney cruise combined with a trip home....VWL. Whahoo!!!!

Believe me I am constantly trying to book a trip and plan. Anyone need any help.....email!

Goodness, I don't think I could stand leaving at the end of a trip if I didn't already have ressies for the next trip. Right now I have ressies for the 4th of July trip(Vero and BWV), and Christmas(BWV). Next week I can make ressies for next spring(OKW), and I'm looking forward to it. I have all the spring and summer trips for the next 10 years planned in my head, I just have to wait until the 11 month window to make them a reality.

Gotta get those trips planned.....it's half the fun! We currently have three trips booked; Mem.Weekend, end of August, and the famous Jersey week in Nov. We usually have two to three trips booked at a time. As soon as I know the school schedules, it's time to call MS!

I thought I was bad thinking about November '04, when I already have May 03 ( in 10 days) and Labor Day 03 booked.
I have to REALLY start planning since I am buying a 300 point BWV resale in the next month and all 300 are available now!
Something next winter, perhaps a cruise again.... hmmmm.
Will be selling my 200 point BWV next year when the new points all sell out and the price goes up LOL !!!

We always have several trips planned in advance. I have a notebook I keep with me to write notes about possible things to do.

We leave for our cruise in less than a week now

Jave a trip booked using our points for the in-laws at Vero in October.

Have a trip to the world planned for December.

Have a trip on paper (but not booked yet) for Hawaii in Spring '04.

Have a trip on paper for Boardwalk & Vero Beach for October '04

Alaskan cruise - '05???? Just a dream at this point.

And if they do another DVC member cruise these plans could all change

Yes, we have multiple trips planned at a time and then there are always the "so 2 years from now we can do this" planning that goes on.

We currently have 3 trips booked and mostly planned out:

June - HH
July - OKW
Dec/Jan - BCV

I just told DH this afternoon that we need to hurry up and plan our other 2 trips for next year. I mean, we only have about 4 months to before we need to make our reservations for next August!

Yes, we were at WDW for Spring Break this year, going in August for 2 weeks and have 7 day DCL with 2 night at OKW booked for next Spring Break. i will book our summer vacation in September once we get back..

Currently we have last week in Oct. and first week in Feb. We're also starting to think about when else we will be going in '04.

My DH tells me I get nervous if I don't have 2 trips "on deck". I think I would go into major depression if I didn't anyway!

Right now our Nov. trip is planned & paid for!! I even have the spending money saved. That feels so good!! I am in the process of planning our April trip of 2004. I have the dates on my calendar to call for flights and also MS.

I told DH that in Nov. of 2004 I am going to look into the cruise!!!

We don't always vacation on points because we don't have enough. We're on the wait list for a specific add-on. Hope it comes through soon.

Absolutely! We always use the 11 month window, so we have confirmed ressies for two trips now, and waiting to plan a third.

As you can tell in my sig line, I plan quite a ways out. I completely immerse myself in my vacation planning. As far as the vacation after it, no, I don't plan the vacation after this one. I first need to see what I get to do, and what I miss doing. While I am on this vacation I will probably make notes on what I want to be sure to do the next time, so in a sense I will be making pre-plans for the next one during the present one.
