Do you use your points to stay at your home resort?

I own at Hilton Head but I have never stayed there yet but hope to in the future, I so far have stayed at VWL 6 Times and OKW 2 times.

We have 2 "homes", VWL then added on at BCV. Purpose of add-on was only for my solo trips-I love BCV. However, on our first trip "home" to VWL, we stayed at OKW last night just to try out different DVC resorts and DH was instantly in love with OKW and now won't stay anywhere else. Well, he SAYS sometime he'll try BCV with me just to see why I love it so, but I'm not sure I'll ever pry him away from OKW. So we have a "home" we'll probably never use. And Kelly Nelly, hope you get to HHI soon. We love it there, as do many others.

We've been members since 1993. We have only stayed at our home resort OKW when at WDW. We've also stayed at VB, taken a cruise and traded out to the Plaza in NY twice. We absolutely love OKW and the difference in pts at the other DVC resorts just doesn't tempt us.

We own at HHI and have never stayed there and I have no desire to stay there it was a purchase decision that was made due to the no money out of pocket for our down payment with the incentive they offered us.

Since our first purchase in 1999, only half of our trips were to one of our 2 home resorts. We wanted to try out all of the resorts, plus we used some points to stay at DL California.

I think we're pretty much done with our trading around. Next year we'll visit both our home resorts (BWV&VWL), and have only short side trip to VB (don't own there) planned.
