I use them on a daily basis but one of my best friends does not use them at all. Also, whenever I travel to Europe, I have to take my own as most hotels over there do not provide them.

Really? I find that interesting. Do most people there not use them or are they known for taking along their own?

Same here.

I use the little baby washcloths on dd.

I dont use it for washing, I use it for cleaning makeup and stuff. My grandma makes me use it lol.

Wash cloth and shower gel for me.

I also take them to the Parks with me in the warm-hot weather.

:earsgirl: :earsboy:

I use a loofah in the shower, but a washcloth to wash my face at the sink.

I always use a washcloth, DH doesn't (I really, really dont understand the not using one thing) but I do not get a new one for each shower. The washcloth is full of soap and I fully rinse all the soap out before hanging on the little bar in the back of the shower (its dry by the time I use it again). If people are using a pouf or loofah, whats the difference? I am the only one that uses it and if the soap "self cleans", wouldn't all the soap on the washcloth clean it too before it goes thru the "rinse cycle" I put it through in the shower? Just wondering becasue I don't find it gross or unsanitary. JMHO

I use a fresh washcloth everytime I wash my face or take a shower...I also use a fresh towel to dry each time too. I saw a show once about the germs that grow on a damp towel. Anyone who had seen that show would never reuse a towel. I even make the kids take a fresh towel after they've been swimming...no drying it on the deck rail & reusing it the next day. EEWWWWW.

I never reuse a towel, even in the summer from the pool, use it once and it goes in the wash! I also don't use bar soap, I just don't care for it, we use shower gel.

I guess they don't use them. I remember asking someone at a hotel several years ago about this and she just looked at me kind of funny and I'm not sure she understood what I was asking. However, I did notice on my last trip to Rome this summer that the B&B I was staying at had some wash cloths. I think that's because the owner is from Florida and most of her customers are from the US.

I really think washcloths are a USA thing, that's why you won't find them in [most] hotels in Europe or elsewhere, including my country. Actually, most hotels here are US chains so I guess they do put the washcloths there for the tourists, but at home we don't use them. I don't use one and don't understand the atraction :confused3 . I was so glad to see a couple of people who say they use their hands to lather up! I don't feel so weird now :teeth: .

I don't I use my hands. :confused3 Once in awhile I use one, and DH has to have one ALL the time. ;) Don't like the "puff" thinghys as they can MOLD when not in use! :crazy2:

I have a basket of them in my bathrooms.

I use a facial cloth (Olay) to wash my face, rinse with a fresh washcloth, and dry with another fresh washcloth. I grab a new one out of the basket every time I shower. I do reuse the towel, but I don't wipe my face with it.

DS, on the other hand, uses fresh towels/facecloths every shower.

I'm another one who buys bundles of washcloths periodically.

I noticed that in the hotels in Europe they do not furnish wash cloths, so I take mine with me.

Neither DH or I use a washcloth when taking a shower. Now when we take a bath we use them. We do have washcloths for our guests. We see some who use them and some who don't. I found a better us for them is in the kitchen. They are great to wash the counter with.

I was washing my hands earlier and had a thought. For those who think they can't get clean without a washcloth - do you use one to wash your hands?

I can SEE any "dirt" on my hands. Some areas of my body aren't visible, and I would prefer to not be digging around with my fingers. Also, when I've worked in the yard, I DO have to use a washcloth and nail brush on my hands. And feet. And legs. Florida dirt CANNOT be rubbed off with your hands.

I know, I know, other cultures don't even use toilet paper. Different strokes for different folks.

Yuck!

I use washcloths along with soap, rub the bar of soap onto the washcloth & use. Easy, clean & I use different color washcloths for everyone in family.

Everyone has their own sets of towels too. That way I know who one the bathroom floor!

If you don't use a washcloth in the shower, how do you wash your bum?

Not flaming anyone, I honestly do not know of a better way to clean it than by using a washcloth.
