Do you use the Pool much on Vacation?

Wherever you are in the world, be it Disney or elsewhere...


We hardly ever swim or relax by the pool, sometimes we enjoy a snack or drink sitting near one, but thats few and far between.

honestly, almost never, even on sea days on a cruise.

We are not into relaxing at Disney. I have the wake-up call at 7am most days and we're out and about the whole day. Disney Drill Sergeant is my family's nickname for me. Now a vacation elsewhere, at the beach for instance, usually involves lots of relaxing by a pool. Our last Disney trip was at Christmas and it was freakin' cold - lows in the 30's at night. No chance of swimming.

DH & DS always use the pool (weather permitting) at least once a day.
Midday we come back to the resort & they like to relax with a swim and later in the evening, too.
I stay out--the aesthetic police may arrest me!
I'm pretty sure Pooh-sized is an arrestable offense


uh..except for the very deserted evening at CSR, when, after a few Margaritas, I trooped out to the quiet pool in my Duggar-like swim suit!

Always. We are a real water family, and the kids just love it.

Almost never...I was a competitive swimmer for more than 20 years, so pools just don't interest me very much anymore, unless it's a cool themed one like Stormalong Bay. I love water parks, but pools I can take or leave.

We spend entire days at the pool. In fact, my kids would be happy if that's all we did.

We always plan to but just never make the time. And really, we can swim in a chlorinated pool anywhere. When I'm at Disney I want to be doing Disney stuff!

My 8-year old DD is a FISH (she's on swim team ) and lives to swim. I said "most days" because there is a day or two when we don't get dragged to the pool.

We always hit either the Pool or the Waterpark almost everyday . We have been enough to get in everything and this is our down time during the hotest parts of the day.

We hit most morning EMHs and all the Nightones so we need a break in the day to recharge.

We are in the pool EVERY day. We usually take a break mid-day from the parks and return to the hotel for a pool break. We then go back to the parks and then spend the rest of the night in the pool. No sleep at WDW....we are too busy and too wet for that kind of thing....

My kids love the water. Tomorrow we leave for our first major family vacation. I'm sure we'll hit the pool every day. If we don't it'll be because we were already in the ocean all day.

My kids wouldn't have it any other way. That's all they want to do on vacation.

We would use the pool during our afternoon park break. We wouldn't really lounge around the pool though, just have a swim and then get back to the parks. The only excption is that we might spend 1 morning relaxing around Stormalong Bay as we always stay at the BCV, but our trips are always 2 weeks long so we have time to do this.

If we´re travelling with the kids we use it pretty much every day. If it´s just the 2 of us, we don´t.

DH doesn't swim at all and I don't care for it all that much. Frankly, I can think of nothing more boring than sitting beside a pool in the hot sun. We used to use the pool once or twice during a vacation when dd was young but she doesn't care for it too much more anymore, either.

We always use the pool on vacation! My kids can take only so much of the parks, then we head back to the hotel for some swimming and relaxation. Then, if everyone feels like it, we head back to the parks in the evening. But sometimes the kids are content to just swim!

Not much at all. Last trip, DH used the pool once in the nine nights we were there.
