Do you use current phrases and "hip" words?

I have been known to use cray cray. My son had a teacher his Freshman year and this was the only accurate description for her!

I was talking to him the other day about grumpy cat memes, he was embarrassed that I'd used the word meme so evidently I'm too old even for that! He nearly died when I threatened to challenge his friends on Trivia Crack.

I suppose I use a fair bit of slang, but it all dates me as someone who went to high school in the late 90s. Score, sweet, cool, awesome, jacked up, "all" as a replacement for "said" (so he was all, "blah blah," and then I was all, "no way!").

And as far as the OP's mention of "shut the front door", I've only ever heard that from uber-religious friends and acquaintances who rely on minced oaths to avoid swearing. These are the same people who say things like "mother hugger" and "oh my sin". Gotta say I'd never consider any of these to be "hip".
